The Challenge

4 weeks from today the challenge of the year will begin. People from all over the world will come together to restore life to another planet. This year it will be scouts from everywhere in the world they will all fighting for the troopers cup and this year would be one of the most dangers years so far. The place where the scouts will be going, has been taken over by mutated bugs and animal the planet of Zeeman has been sending all there bad experiments there for hundreds of years. Once upon a time the planet was full of humans and animals with trees and flowers now it’s a deserted planet that has eroded away leaving nothing but parts of houses and unstable land. The point of this challenge is to make the planet liveable and bring back the life that once lived there. It might sound easy but this planet is dark it has no sun and there is dirt everywhere it is one of the most unliveable planets. This planet is called And-dross. 

In the small town of Darling the scout troop is preparing for the most important task of their lives. This year they are going to let girls into the challenge, so they have declared this to be the biggest one of the century. Darcy is the oldest scout in Darling and this is her first and final time in the challenge, and she couldn’t be happier, but her family isn’t. People have died in this challenge and they are scared that Darcy will not make it. Darcy’s best friend Brooke will be in the challenge as well   and she couldn’t be more scared. Darcy’s little sister Jessica is in the challenge as well and she is so scared, she is only 10 years old and doesn’t know much about this challenge, Darcy would give anything for Brooke and Jessica she has sworn that she will protected them no matter what. Darcy helped Jessica and Brooke train they also trained with James and Rookie. James is small but smart and Rookie is the whole package his is strong, smart and very handsome and he also has an English accent! The training was brutal they had to jump and weave over optical and run through course’s they had to battle each with knifes, swords, bows and arrows  even spears they had to learn to survive without water and food for days. A week pasted and all scouts where counting down three weeks to go. John, his little sister Hannah (12) and little twin brothers Elliot & Robert (10) where getting ready too. Everyone was happy that we had John was in our team he’s an outdoors person and he is one of the best scouts in the hole of Victoria. No one had a worry about John but his brothers where a different story, the twins are some of the youngest people to go into the challenge ever and people where scared, people tried to have them pulled out but they wanted to stay and win the challenge everyone acted happy and congratulated them but people would always be unhappy to see them leave everyone knew what would happen if they went into the challenge, everyone just hoped and prayed that they would be okay. Darling is a small town where everyone knows everyone and that only made losing someone even harder the whole town would stop and everyone would be sad no one would go to school or go to work they would stay at home praying and thanking god that it wasn’t them or their family but the sad thing was that they were there family everyone in Darling are family not by blood but by friendship. Some people in Darling are so sad from their loss they take their lives or wish it could have been them, and this makes the town more sad that’s why they don’t like this challenge and that’s why they don’t want the twins to go, it would be a terrible loss for the town and their families, but they want to go so they will go. They train with John and Hannah. John swore that he would keep the twins safe, and John doesn’t break his promises.

It’s a Thursday night (scout night) all the scouts from Darling come to the scout hall and muck-around and they play games sometimes they cook and make things. At the start of the night it was Riley’s turn to do the grand-howl that opens the night. After the leaders told the scouts what they are playing (doctor doctor) everyone went and got ready to play, but Darcy, Brooke and Riley where standing in a group “Darcy? Do you thing we will win? Do you think we will live?” asked Riley. You could see by the look in her eyes that she was scared “yeah do you think we will live? All of us?” said Brooke anxiously “no” replied Darcy “I don’t think all of us will survive but I hope I’m wrong and we all do” “who do you think won’t make it?” Riley said in scared and terrified voice thinking Darcy was going to say her name. “I’m not saying I just hope I’m wrong” Darcy looked scared and worried “come on girls were picking teams now” said fox “coming” shouted Darcy and Riley “what’s wrong Brooke?” said Riley “what if I die? What if we all die?” quickly said Brooke “well then where dead now let’s go I want to play” said Darcy as she ran to get in the game, Brooke and Riley just looked at each other they looked worried and scared Riley said is a low pitched voice “why is Darcy not worried or scared..?” Broke shrugged her shoulders and ran outside, there was a tear running down Riley’s face she wiped it off and ran outside to join the others.
