I don't know what it was, but something about my life made it feel like a dream.
"Have a good first day, Honey."
Ever since the day it all... Happend. Nothing has felt the same. Nothing.
"Don't forget to ask for extra credit so you won't so far behind"
All the nightmares I've had since then we're overpowering. But the thought that it was all miles & miles & MILES away kept me sane.
"Roxanne? Are you even listening to your mother?"
And sad.
"ROXANNE!"
"W-what? OH. Yea mom I'll make sure to do it." Ouch. Even i didn't belive that.
"Uh huh.." My mother gave me a quick peck and continued to cook breakfast for the little ones.
"Bye Bye Voxy!" said my little sister, Tiffani, before running to my mom begging to let her help.
"Voxy play wivth me! Play wivth me!"
I gave my little brother, Vinnie, a kiss on the cheek and said
"Not right now buddy"
With that I walked out the door and crossed the street to my brand new school. I have to admit, a new school after being homeschooled for a whole year was nauseating, but at the same time exciting. I mean, how bad could high school possibly be?---------------------------------------------
Terrible. High school can be terrible.
"Good Morning class, we have a new student here with us today."
No one was even listening to my new history teacher Ms.Jart. They weren't even TRYING to hide the fact that they were completely ignoring her.
"Ok, honey well you can go sit by Ruby over there!" She pointed at a girl with long, thin brown hair and gorgeous green eyes. As i walked closer i noticed she was doing an unusual amount of staring at the boy in front of her. I sat down and decided to bravely speak up,
"Hi, I'm-". She cut me off and turned for about 4.5 seconds.
"Hi, I'm Ruby" After that she simply turned back around to stare at the boy again. So much for making friends.
Just as I thought all hope was lost i felt a very light tap on my shoulder. I turned to my left and saw a boy with the biggest mohawk I've ever seen.. staring at me.
"Hi!" he said with a devilish like grin on his face.
"Heyyyy?" It sounded more like a question.
He laughed "What's your name?" It was then that I noticed that the teacher hadn't introduced me at all.
"Oh, um sorry... I'm Roxanne" I held out my hand so he could shake it. Instead he smirked and gave me the awkwardest high five.
"I'm Eddy, but my friends call me Mohawk."
"HA! That's funny because... You have... A... Mohawk...?" I'm terrible at this meeting new people thing.
He laughed again
"How about i introduce you to your AMAZING NEW CLASSMATES?" Mohawk said that last part so that the rest of the room could clearly hear him.
"That would be nice thank you." I said smiling.
He smiled at me.
"Well that girl you were just trying to talk to, yea that's Ruby. The boy she's constantly staring at is Lloyd. The girl to my left here is Valerie" He pointed to very pretty girl with medium length black hair with hazel eyes. "Say hi ya weirdo!" He playfully punched her arm and she glared at him.
"Do that again and I'll rip your arm off." Mohawk put his hands up in fake fear and mockery. Valerie turned to me. "Hey, I'm Valerie" She stuck her hand out so I could shake it. But just as I was about to shake it, Mohawk pushed it away.
"Yea yea we knew that already. Now back to the rest of our classmates. There's Pete, Michael, Savannah and Jessica..." He continued through the rest of them for about 2 minutes while i was enjoying the fact that I had just made a new friend.
"And that's about all of them." i realized that i zoned out and didn't hear most of the names.
"Yea.. YEA! That, that was great" i said with a big smile.
He raised his eyebrow.
"Roxanne you weren't listening to a word i was saying were you?"
I shake my head.
"I like you Roxanne...?"
"Pitcher." i say "Roxanne Pitcher."
And this time we actually shake hands.
