"So you're part of frickin' book?" I yelled at Nate.

"Shhh. Yes i am." Nate whispered. They were entering the main city. I looked up and saw the castle.

"I have to do this alone. Don't I." I said. We had stopped walking. Nate had scars all over his face. I handed him the book.

"Thank you." I said as i walked away. I didn't look back.

The castle. The shimmering castle that was once home to the gracious queen was now home to a murderer. A cold blooded murderer. I walked to the doors. There were no guards. Layla wanted a fair fight. I found myself smiling. She was fair if not anything else. I entered the hall as if it were in my sub-consciousness.

Layla was there.

"I've come to fight." My voice was shaking. Layla was sat on the throne as if she were bored. Her black hair was touching the floor. Then she smiled and sat up. "That's great!" she said. Then just like that she gripped a knife in her hand and threw it at me. I had no natural instinct except from where i played dodge ball. The knife cut my earlobe. The monster grinned and threw another. This time i ran to the other side. Layla had an advantage. One I didn't have. She threw another. I didn't try to, i just ran faster than ever. I ran faster than light. I yanked out my sword and held it to her neck.

"Do it then." I tried to slit it but i couldn't I dropped my sword. "I'm sorry about that." I said. Layla smirked. her voice rang out, "Cut your own neck." I raised the sword to my neck. I hid my smile as i cut it. I stopped before the scar could become visible. I turned the sword around and jammed it into her heart. Layla smiled.

"You're not powerful though. You can't remove my soul." She laughed. "You're not even a queen. You will never be. I killed you."

I staggered back. If i was dead then how could I kill and be killed. Instead i fell. Maybe my magic was gone now i stopped believing i was a queen. I couldn't move. I fell to my knees like everyone else in the court room would've. Layla suddenly stopped moving. Her smile was plastered on her face. Her body was dead her soul was not. That's when I touched my blood and smiled. I'd die kneeling towards the dead queen. I smiled. If there was no more royalty Layla couldn't be born again. That gave me hope. I shut my eyes. My fingers dabbed themselves in blood. I felt a rush of energy in me.

If only you knew  I've been there for you Lenna. I'm dead and so Layla must die to

I sent the rushing sensation  out of my hand and as i looked up a girl who looked like an angel floated out and took the soul. I passed out.

6 months later

Ruth clutched Eva's hand. Soon after the battle both Lenna and Layla were found dead. Layla had been burnt alive but Lenna was being buried. Nate was there as well.

"Just for now. I did a lot of bribing with my soul to come here." He had said. Ruth laughed. Lenna would've as well but she was gone now. The princes from years back had decided on a democracy to rule instead. The world was moving on.

This is the last chapter. If you read this then i congratulate you on reading this cringe worthy story. I actually recognise why this is so bad. Plain characters, no sub-plot. I am actually proud though of the 10,000 or so words i wrote of this mess. I never thought i'd get past chapter 6 let alone finish this story.
