Many thoughts are sprinting around my brain as my senses begin to waken, what the heck just happened to me?
I remain laying on something that I haven't identified yet due to my sealed shut eyes refusing to explore my surroundings, but I can't argue with them, it feels like a forty-four tonne lorry has compressed my heart and bones and punctured my lungs and stomach, so I agree to take it easy for now.
Automatically assuming I'm alone, I flinch as a breeze nips at my skin but my nose widens from recognizing the scent that's gliding with the breeze and I immediately perk up, knowing exactly whose scent it is.
"Rye..."
Full with determination, my eyes battle through their weakness and open halfway to view him and my pupils instantly dilate with glee.Due to the overwhelming excitement from his existence, I abruptly sit up, despite how painful it is, just so I can be closer to him.
But my heart sinks as his hand rejects me and gently pushes me back down so I'm lying on my back, but I obey him because I don't have the power to fight back.
"I suggest not to move so fast," his husky voice blesses my ears, and he perches himself next to me on the sofa, "I'd rather not deal with your dinner from yesterday," he chuckles to himself.
"Yesterdays dinner...?"
I question with a slight croak in my voice as I'm reorganizing my hair from the push."Andy, allow your body to adjust. Any sudden movements will overwhelm you, especially your stomach. The stomach is the most sensitive area."
He informs me."Sorry Mr. Brainy..."
I smirk, gazing upon his hazel eyes clearer. But he doesn't return any signs of laughter which wipes the smirk off my lips instantly."It's called common sense," he stands, still expressing a blank expression on his face, "do you want something to drink?"
My confidence dims, "Um- if you don't mind.." his unusual aggressive tone is leaving me to question what I've done wrong.
I shy away into my hoodie thinking he can see the heavy blush painted on my cheeks, but the room is dark and the LED lights are at a low setting, so I don't have to worry about being confronted.
I remain silent as I watch Rye at the sink. The sound of dishes clashing together make me flinch, but he soon stumbles across the glasses in one of the top cupboards.
He turns the leaver on the tap and tests the running water to see if it's cool enough with his index finger.
I must've been daydreaming because he coughs, indicating that he's been standing in front of me for a while.
"Oh- Thank you."
I chuckle as I attempt to take the glass from him, but my hand accidentally brush over his fingers and I stupidly make a scene by awkwardly giggling like a child.I gaze at him with butterflies in my stomach as the most beautiful grin appears on his lips due to my reaction, however a notification appears on his phone and the butterflies start to die down.
His eyes scan over the text in silence, "I'll be back Fovvs, just rest up a little while I'm gone alright? He makes his way over to the door with his attention still glued to his screen.
"W-where are you going?"
I stammer, feeling anxious about being left on my own again."I'll be back soon, okay?"
He replies sharply, and I can no longer see him."Rye.."
I croak out, whining in pain from my sore throat. He peeps his head through the crack of the door, looking at me with wide eyes, "What is it?" He intriguingly asks.
