{Brooklyn}

I used to laugh in the faces who told me they're in love because I couldn't comprehend how another person made you feel different, it didn't make sense to me at all.

Growing up, I didn't have a crush like everyone else did, so I never experienced this thing called 'love' before. But as my lonely eyes explored yours, my mind was all over the place and I finally understood the feeling everyone was talking about.

You made me feel a way that couldn't be put into words, how is that possible?

We unfortunately drifted apart, well, you drifted apart, but we both know you didn't want to, you were only trying to escape the hate. In fact, you despised the hate we received.

Hotels, hotels are cool. New surroundings. Same memories, no, not again. Turn the pictures around, television off.

I desired you at that moment.

Stop it Rye! Stop thinking about him, you're the one who ended it. Just move on!

You couldn't sleep for days. I was plastered on your eyelids...

But you have to understand that you can't break a bond that's been built over the years, I'm in love with you and I know you're in love with me.

Don't you remember the taste of my lips? You straddled me until I was gasping for air, gnawing on the bottom of my lip like an addict.

Don't you remember our hugs? You told me everything surrounding us was invisible, that only this moment was what mattered.

Don't you remember our love bites? We used to laugh at trying to hide them the following day, tell me you miss it too...

But we don't have to miss what's already in front of us, Ryan.

{Andy}

"They were dating?"

"Yes, and they dated for a while actually. You're so oblivious," he playfully nudges my shoulder, "until they received hate and, well, Rye ended it."

"But Brooklyn still likes Rye, doesn't he..."
I lower my voice, just in case anyone's eavesdropping.

Mikey hypnotizes me with his baby-blue eyes, glancing directly into mine, "Very much. What made you come to that conclusion?"

"Oh- I just remember a conversation Brooklyn and I had on the way here, it happened to be about love. He explained a rather specific story, almost as if he was the one to experience it. So I guess he was explaining how he felt during the breakup..."

"Probably."
He softly sighs.

"Anyway, we all know that Jack can't control himself sometimes. Well, Jack saw Brook and Rye snuggling together and by this time he already knows they've broken up, so he told them to both get a grip and move on."

"Why did he interfere?"

"It's because he cares, Andy. He doesn't like to see people hurt and he always seems to blame it on himself, which I must keep reminding him not to."

"Oh..."
I cock a brow.

"Due to Brooklyn's sensitivity, he switched into defensive mode with the click of a finger, demanding him to mind his own business. But Jack, well, he didn't listen."

"What happened?"

"His innocent, green irises sharpened into a murky brown as he clawed into Brooklyn's arms, piercing the delicacy of his skin with his nails to strengthen eye-contact. Their faces were uncomfortably close and Jack repeatedly shook Brook back and forth, reminding him how vulnerable he is."

"Don't you think that's too far?"

"Yes, but Jack didn't realize what he was doing at the time, he completely lost his mind. Rye clenched his fists, wandering over to Jack and thrusts him against the wall with barely any air between them. Jack's avoided his glare and his mouth was sealed shut. Rye eventually released him but Jack stormed off out of defeat. Brooklyn disappeared at this point so I decided to follow Jack, I told Rye to leave Brooklyn alone and to take you back to our room because you were just laying there on the cold floor whilst all this was happening." Mikey chuckles.

So that's why I only woke to Rye...

"Anyway, I attempted many ways to calm Jack down but for some reason he was in so much distress and I wasn't sure why... I didn't think this situation could get any worse, but it did, because Brooklyn came back."

"What did he do?"

"He clenched his jaw and gritted his teeth, glaring directly into the boy's soul. White noise surrounded us until Brook made the move, sprinting like Jack is his prey. It was too late for Jack to react, because Brook had already hauled him to the floor. The amount of blood stained on their skin was horrendous, I've never seen a scrap anything like it... Feeling utterly hopeless, I gave Rye a text to break them apart, he's good at soothing people."

This is all making sense, Rye didn't leave me alone on purpose and he was probably mad earlier due to all the tension.

Maybe he doesn't hate me after all?

"In the end, Rye broke them apart like a warm knife through butter, which was expected. Brooklyn was whimpering and he made his way over to our room, I suppose to try and calm himself down, but I guess it didn't end up working because he came back to hug Rye from behind. Rye sensed Brook's distress and carried him bridal style, swaying him back and forth like a newborn baby, Brooklyn soon relaxed in his embrace and I mouthed a 'thanks' to Rye for saving the night. It was utter chaos though."

So that's why Brooklyn had blood on his arm and looked rough when he came in...

"Rye and I were talking with Jack for the time being and he did eventually settle down too, until Brooklyn raised his head from the crook of Rye's neck to shout that Jack was only jealous," Mikey tuts, "but luckily Jack was too tired to retaliate."

"I still don't understand... Why are Rye and Brooklyn so touchy all the time if they've broken up?"

"I think they still love each other."

Oh...
