Chapter Fifty: Dinner and a Show

Shownu's POV

After some deliberating, we decided upon a restaurant across the street from the hotel that made really good hamburgers. I hoped that while we were eating, there would be no fighting. You can't really argue while there's food in your mouth, right?

We sat silently at a large, long table. Jiyeon sat comfortably at the head of the table, on either side of her was Kihyun and Minhyuk. Hyungwon and Changkyun sat next to each other while I sat next to Jooheon. Wonho sat at the other head of the table.

Our food was served quickly, which was good because I was starving.

I could feel the tension as I stared down at my hamburger, mouth watering. The other didn't seem to be eating either, and I didn't want to make the first move.

I looked up to see Kihyun was surveying the table.

"Let's have a toast!" Minhyuk cheered, trying to lighten the mood.

"To an amazing tour!" Kihyun agreed, raising his glass of soda.

I raised my glass too, forcing a smile through my personal problems.

Wonho stood up from his seat, raising his glass with a big smile on his face, "I have something to announce."

Everyone at the table raised their brows, waiting for what he had to say.

"Jiyeon and I are officially dating." He smirked, looking directly at me.

"What?" Minhyuk asked, looking at Jiyeon, "Is that true?"

Jiyeon looked dumbfounded.

'I should have known... I have no chance with her.' I thought, looking solemnly at my lap.

"You're such a liar!" Hyungwon scoffed, "No way she agreed to be your girlfriend."

"It's true." Wonho said, sticking out his chin, "Go ahead, ask her."

We all turned to look at Jiyeon.

"Well... it's not true..." She replied cautiously, "But I think we need to talk about-"

"See! You're such a liar! Stop putting Jiyeon on the spot." Changkyun added, standing up.

"Guys, stop arguing." Kihyun grumbled, "We're at a restaurant where people can see us."

"Yeah, you guys look ridiculous." Hyungwon added, his arms crossed.

"I look ridiculous?" Wonho growled.

Hyungwon nodded smugly.

Wonho picked up his burger and threw it at Hyungwon. I gasped as the food seemed to move in slow motion before hitting Hyungwon's designer shirt, "Who looks ridiculous now?"

"What the hell?" Hyungwon yelled, standing up.

The burger fell off his lap to the floor, but ketchup and other sauces were still smeared all over his clothing.

"Please, stop acting like this." Jiyeon begged, standing up as well, "We can talk about this another time."

"But I'm sick of waiting!" Wonho yelled, "Just tell us right now. WHO DO YOU LOVE?"

Jiyeon's eyes widened.

I couldn't help but want to know the truth too. I looked at her, seeing that she felt nervous and unsure of herself.

"Well.. I..." She stuttered.

I could tell she wasn't going to be able to respond. So I decided to distract everyone. Simply changing the subject wouldn't do.

'This is stupid, but...'

I picked up my hamburger and threw it at Wonho. I accidentally hit him in the face, and the table erupted into laughter.

"Nice shot." Changkyun laughed.

Wonho wiped ketchup out of his eyes and glared at me, "You're so dead."

Wonho snatched Jooheon's burger out of his hand, while Jooheon was mid-bite might I add, and threw it right at me. Within moments, the table was caught in an all-out food fight. I had to dodge hamburgers, fries, and splashes of soda.

It only ended once the table was empty of food to throw.

I tried to catch my breath once everything was done. My clothes were ruined, and I felt like I had released some of my pent-up anger.

Now I was able to take a step back and look at this situation.

'Why are we acting like this?'

Aren't we best friends? Can't we just get along?

Why can't the others just agree to give up and let me have Jiyeon?

Speaking of which...

"Where's Jiyeon?" I asked, looking around the table.

She was nowhere in sight.

Just then Kihyun received a phone call.

He wiped his hand on his jeans before answering, "Hello?"

Kihyun's face fell and his eyes widened. He hung up quickly, "Jiyeon's in trouble! We've got to go right now!"

"What happened?" I asked.

"She's been in an accident! She's in the hospital!"
