"So you're telling me, you're going to leave Baekhyun to be an idol?" Sehun asks. "The guy you fought for during high school?"

Chanyeol rolls his eyes. "Don't give me a lecture sick boy. I didn't know that I wouldn't be able to date after I debut as my focus would have to remain on my career and becoming an idol. Plus, how many gay idols in Korea do you know?"

Sehun thinks for a second. "I only know Holland."

"Yeah one and do you really think SM would allow gay idols? I have to be straight for the public."

"I really can't believe you."

Chanyeol sighs. "Just don't tell Baek. I have to tell him myself."

Day one consisted of most of them sleeping round the pool, trying to catch up on sleep. They never even went out after their evening meal to check out where they were.

Day two was just a full pool day. Sehun and LuHan never came out the pool all day, except to get food. They had races from one end of the pool to the other; LuHan won most of them. The only time Sehun won was when LuHan let him win, of course.

For Chanyeol and Baekhyun, they played catch with a ball in the pool. Since the water was deeper at one end, Chanyeol of course had to go down the deeper side. However, he did keep moving further back and ended up going under a few times, making Baekhyun laugh at his clumsiness.

Junmyeon and Jongdae? Well Jongdae did want to play in the sea or the pool but Junmyeon was too busy sunbathing to want to go in. So all Jongdae did was sit on the sunbed reading or sleeping.

Day three was more fun for Jongdae as he jumped in the pool and got water on Junmyeon who decided to get revenge and jump in with the water going all over Jongdae. As Sehun got sunburnt yesterday, Sehun and LuHan remained in the shade. Chanyeol decided to take Baekhyun for a walk along the main street and treated him to an ankle bracelet with a cute turtle on; and it was pink.

Day four, they decided to try surfing. Most of the day consisted of Chanyeol teasing Sehun in a wetsuit and Sehun pushing him off the surf board. Junmyeon did get stung by a jellyfish on his ankle and Jongdae being Jongdae, tried to pee on the sting. Let's say Jongdae got a good taste of saltwater.

Day five for them was more peaceful with them lounging at the beach and relaxing in the sea. Chanyeol and Baekhyun played in the sea most of the day and even snuck out for lunch at a small café on the beach front while the others were sleeping on their towels. But once Chanyeol fell asleep on his towel, Sehun decided to get revenge on the surfing incident by digging a deep hole around Chanyeol's towel and filled it up with water.

Day six is today. They've been at the pool all day and they've been for dinner and are now in their rooms, packing ready to travel home tomorrow.

"Babe, you seen my blue swim shorts?" Baekhyun asks Chanyeol who is all finished and sat on the bed.

Chanyeol looks up from his book. "Last time I saw them, they were on the balcony drying."

"I looked on there but they've gone. I bet they fell off and someone stole them." Baekhyun states.

"Yeah Sehun probably. He is next to us." Chanyeol explains. He places his book on the nightstand and sits up, cross-legged. "Babe, can we talk?"

Baekhyun places his final tee in the suitcase. "Can it wait? I'm nearly done." Chanyeol nods knowing that Baekhyun is not going to want to pack his case once they've spoken. However, after ten more minutes, Baekhyun zips up his case and climbs on the bed, sitting opposite him. "What's up baby?"

Chanyeol takes Baekhyun's hands in his and takes a deep breath. "Look, I'm going to tell you something that I know you're not going to like but I need to tell you now."

"T-tell me w-what?" Baekhyun stutters. He notices that Chanyeol can't even look him in the eyes and that's how he knows something's wrong.

"I rang SM and told them my decision. I said I would sign a contract with them."

Baekhyun strings a smile together. "But that's a good thing."

"Not really." Chanyeol starts. "Since I'll be an idol under SM, I won't be allowed to date and the worst part is, I'll have to leave you. No fan can know I'm actually gay." By now his eyes are watering up and his throat is clogged. "Once I debut, we can't be together..."

With tears slipping down his cheeks, Baekhyun looks at Chanyeol in disbelief. "W-we have to b-break up?" He chokes.

Chanyeol nods. He feels Baekhyun start to shake and his heart shatters. "I'm so sorry...please don't hate me..."

"As much as I would want to hate you, I can't..."

"But we have until the day I debut and I plan to spend this time with you. I probably have until I graduate so that's after another two years. I'm just not ready to lose you yet..." Baekhyun bursts into tears and Chanyeol doesn't know if to hug him or not. "Baby...I don't know what to say..."

Baekhyun takes a few moments to compose himself. "You chose being an idol over me..?"

This question hits Chanyeol right in the heart. He's speechless. How was he meant to answer that? YES? NO?

"I didn't know I had to leave you. But I want us to stay friends until I finish being a rookie and then we can secretly date without SM knowing. I know it sounds crazy but -"

"No." Baekhyun states. "Once we break up, that's it. My heart won't cope waiting two years."

Chanyeol's mouth gapes. "But I thought you would wait forever?"

"I would but my heart can't. We will make these last two years amazing but after that, we split." Baekhyun climbs off the bed. "I'm going to shower."

Chanyeol watches Baekhyun walk away. His heart is in a million pieces and nothing can fix it. Once Baekhyun is out of sight, his head falls into his hands and he cries, hard. He fought for Baekhyun and in two years, he's losing his because of his dream. He had to pick one of his two dreams; Baekhyun and music.

His plan now, get big and then find Baekhyun.
