(Miles ^^)
I was in my new room, sitting on my bed, waiting for my mom to wake me up. I never went to sleep. New school. New home. New places. Everything is different now... I sit there and keep thinking all these things. I miss my friends. I stand up and look around my room. Nothing but boxes, clothes, and my bed were in my room. My room is boring. I need posters or something. Not like anyone's going to see it. Ever.
My mom walks in and looks shocked, probable because I'm already awake.
"Honey, why are you awake already?" My mom asked.
"I didn't sleep." I told her. Plain and simple.
"Why not?" she asked. Ugh.
"Wasn't tired." I say.
She doesn't say anything after that, just nods and leaves the room. I flop back onto my bed and lay there, looking at my ceiling. I don't want to move. I don't want to get ready. I don't want to go to school.
After laying there, for probably 20 minutes, I get up again and start getting ready. I go to a box that's on the floor and get some clothes. I change into some dark blue ripped jeans and a plain white t-shirt. I pick up my red vans and put them on. I go to the bathroom and brush my teeth. I look in the mirror and stare at my face, noting all the little details there. I brush my short, wavy dark hair and then leave the bathroom.
I walk downstairs and into the living room. I see my mother and little sister sitting on the couch. My sister isn't that much younger than me. Only 2 years apart. I'm 17, so she's 15. I walk to the couch and sit down next to my mother.
"Miles!" My sister yells to me.
"Yes Taylor!" I yell back, laughing a bit.
"Can you drive me to school?" She asks.
"Why?" I ask back.
"Mom has a meeting soon so she can't drive me." She says.
"But I don't have a car yet." I say.
"Ugh. Fine I'll walk." She says. She hates walking.
"Yay! I get to walk with my amazing sister!" I say, loudly and sarcastically.
She just rolls her eyes and laughs a little. I smile at her and laugh a little too. We get up and go to the kitchen to eat breakfast. I sit at the kitchen table, as does my sister, and my mother goes and makes breakfast. I rest my head on my hand and wait for the food. The smell of eggs and bacon fill my nose. It smells so good. My mother's cooking has always been good.
