unexpected love (editing)

Chapter eight: my first and last time on stage.

Linda's pov

Amy noticed the grin on my face and stopped laughing. When they saw her, the boys did the same.

Now, they are all looking at me. Great! *note the sarcasm* Why? Why am I the one who should tell them?

"Are you okay? "  A worried Amy asked me.

So I said: "Guys, I hate to tell you this but, we don't have an opening act."

They were all shocked Including Amy. This show is going to be released on DVD, so we really need an opening act. Especially that the boys aren't ready to go on stage. They need at least an hour and a half, while the concert starts in about 40mins. I think that we might have angry fans tonight. First time in history!

I asked them: "What are we going to do?"

"We can get ready and go on stage," said Zack.

"yeah, but Caroline isn't here yet and you can't go on stage wearing that."

Amy's pov

It was chaotic, everything was a mess. The boys didn't know what to do. The girl who was supposed to perform didn't show up, because she got sick. Like seriously? 

They are in so much trouble. I wish I could help them but, I honestly can't.

How about I bring them clothes? Or should I help Linda do their hair? 

This won't work! I wish I could bring that girl to perform, even while sick! But I don't know anything about her. 

Actually, no one does. She was supposed to be a surprise.

Wait for a minute!

I can actually help them! That's obviously not the best idea. But that's the only way out, I think. 

I'm having a conversation with myself. *Sweet!*

I try to get their attention but, they were all talking at the same time, so I screamed "Guys!" Now the attention was all mine. *Woohoo!*

"How much should the opening act last?" I ask them.

"At least an hour" Nate answered me.

Then I said: "I guess, I can do that. I can sing."

Their eyes got wider when they heard me. 

So I continued:" I had music lessons since I was a kid, well I kind of was forced to have those lessons but, anyway I guess that's going to be useful now."

After minutes of silence, Jack spoke and asked me to sing something and because we don't have much time for a proper audition. I decided to sing that part of One direction's You & I, where Zayn drives us all crazy with his perfect high notes.

"Cause you & I...................i. 

We don't wanna be like them, we can make it till the end." 

then I said: "I guess that's enough!".

They were all so surprised, well I was surprised too. I sounded great!

It reminded me of my music and dance teachers. They used to tell me that I have an amazing future in the music industry. But, that's not what I want. That's not my dream, it's my mum's. 

She wanted to become a singer, a dancer, anything. She just wanted to become famous and because she didn't, she decided to make her dream through her beloved daughter a.k.a me. 

But, I didn't give her what she wanted. For me, performing is just for fun, because my dream is to become an architect and no one will ever change that.

So I think, this is going to be my first and last time on stage.
