Y/N's POV
-------------------
I felt a choked tear roll down my cheek as I turned on the next video, the sound mingling with my weak laughter at some of the oldest vines in the world. "RoAd WoRk AhEaD? Uh YeAh, I sUrE hOpE iT dOeS!" I giggled, the half-empty bottle of wine on the stand beside me contributing to my state. I pitched forwards, in a giggle fit, the box of cheap Chinese takeout tipping forward precariously.
I managed to snatch it back, the noodles nearly tipping out of the box as the chopsticks clattered to the floor.
I nested back into the couch cushions, picking though the food in the box as I leaned back. I ignored the running track of Ancient Vines that make me cry in front of me. I looked to the stand, wondering if it would be worth it to drink anymore, or if it would be way too risky.
I sighed. What a state I was in. Not to mention, the damn takeout was two days old. It was disgusting, but I was in absolutely no state to go and get actual food.
I glanced at my phone, which lit up, revealing the time and the one person i missed most in the world right now, Natasha Romanoff. It was three thirty.
And I was in my living room, watching stale vines, making myself drunk with some red wine, and eating old takeout from two days ago.
All of this, over the fierce woman I loved, who was probably saving the world in Vienna right now. While her pathetic girlfriend sobbed at their apartment over not being able to see or talk to her for almost three weeks now.
I sighed, disappointed in myself. "What would Nat say if she saw me in this state?" I said out loud, looking at the box in my lap. I heard a seductive voice come from the general direction of the door.
"I don't know, maybe: can I join in?"
I whipped my head over to look at the door, where the red-head beauty stood. I jumped up, placing the takeout beside me, and ran over to Nat, nearly jumping on her and tangling my legs around her waist as I entwined my hands in her hair and planted kiss after kiss on her face. Nat laughed, easily keeping her balance with me.
"Someone missed me." Nat said, managing to veer over to the couch and sit down, leaving me still perched in her lap. I let out another strangled laugh, burying my head into the crook of Nat's neck. She comfortingly hugged me, letting my sob into her neck.
"I-I thought you were dead! There could be any chance of you being gone and out of my reach, Nat."
Nat gently kissed my forehead. "It's going to take more than that to take me away from you." She gently turned the TV off, helping me stand up.
After a few seconds of me tipping and wobbling on my feet, Nat sighed and scooped me, eliciting a yelp from me as she held me up bridal style and sprinted up the stairs, barely a few second adventure.
She reached our room, and she walked in, gently setting me down and crawling in beside me. I curled up, turning onto my side, and curled into Nat's chest.
I felt her arms wrap around me protectively, and dozed off, feeling at home.
