“Excuse me?” I stutter, shocked. I try to inhale sharply but it comes out as more of a gasp.

“Ah, if you want to see-“

“No, that’s fine. Thank you, I’ll contact you if I need anything else. Thanks- goodbye.” I abruptly hang up as I see Harry trudge up the stairs.

“…Are you okay? You look like you’ve seen a ghost…” Harry worries, taking me into his arms. I nod, indicating he didn’t need to worry.

“I’m uh…” I gulp, “…fine. The doctors just called.” I shake my head and plant a small, fake smile on my face.

“What did they say, is it anything serious?” Harry’s eyebrows furrow together cutely as I smile slightly more and look into his eyes.

“No, no. They don’t think it’s serious, they’ll call if it is. Nothing to worry about.”

“Great, I’m glad.” He smiles a genuine smile and hugs me, and as much as I want to smile and kiss him and hug him like usual, the horrible feeling of regret and guilt stabs at me. I embrace him anyway and we stay like that for a few minutes until Harry lets go.

“Did you realize it wasn’t raining outside?” Harry grins cheekily, and I look out the window to see a red blanket covering the sky, but not a drop of rain in sight. Not even the ground was wet.

“It’s dry outside for once!” I exclaim.

“Exactly, let me treat you to dinner.” Harry asks more than states.

“Outside?”

“Yes, but not here. Put on a few layers and I’ll get the…” he cuts himself short, “…stuff!”

“Okay!” I agree, excited. I wrap myself in a few warmer layers and grab a few coats for Harry and skip downstairs where Harry is out at the car, putting an object in the car. I throw his coats over to him and hop in the passenger’s seat, awaiting Harry to put on the layers.

He eventually gets into the car and I watch as the full, white moon shines in the sky above us. We drive down the dimly lit, unfamiliar (to me) streets of Cheshire (Holmes Chapel, to be exact). It took us about five minutes of driving before we pull up outside a public park, with small lanterns lighting the park like a garden. A small table sat on the far side of a big field at the end of a path, and as I suspect, Harry drags me over to the table and places a picnic rug over the top. We sit down and Harry places a small basket next to us that I didn’t even realize he was carrying before. He takes out the contents- two flasks, two spoons, a bottle of chocolate milk and two cups, plus a few bread rolls.

“How romantic.” I comment teasingly, taking a flask and a spoon.

“Extremely. I knew this would make you swoon.” He laughs back unscrewing both of the lids of the flasks. Immediately steam and the aroma of pumpkin soup escape the flask. I smile quickly at Harry before scooping some of the soup into my mouth hungrily, desperately wanting to taste it. It reminded me a lot of home, almost making me home sick.

“Wow, Harry,” I say between mouthfuls, “This is really fantastic. When did you make this?”

“I didn’t, my mother gave it to me at lunch the other day so I kept it airtight and secret.” He smirks, taking a swig of chocolate milk.

“Well make sure you tell her thank you, it’s absolutely DELICIOUS!” I compliment, taking a bit of a bread roll and dipping it in the soup.

“Will do.” Harry says, making steam with his breath in the air. I wrap the scarf around my neck tighter.
