"Come on," they laughed, "let's go!" My friends were trying to convince me to join the circus.

"No!" I replied, holding my ground, "Do you know what they would do to me?" You see I have this "special talent" as my friends like to call it.  I don't really think of it as a talent, more like a problem.

"It doesn't matter what they do to you, you can't feel pain!" London exclaimed.  Yes, it's true, I Lea Berrry can not feel any physical pain.

"Just because I can't feel any physical pain, doesn't mean I can't get hurt emotionally!" I said, "Besides, feeling no pain isn't all its cracked up to be.  If you don't know when something feels bad, or hurts, then how are you supposed to know when something feels good?" My little speech stunned my friends into silence.  When they started talking again, it wasn't about the circus.

The next morning I woke up and looked at the time, 7:45.  Way to early to get up! Talia, Falicia and Crystal slept over last night.  I invited London too, but she declined, saying she had some family thing.

"I'm hungry," a voice said from the floor, "what's for breakfast?" I turned over on my side and poked my head over the edge of my bed, to see Talia looking up at me expectantly.  "Well?" She nagged, standing up and walking over to the door, "If you aren't getting up, I am going to get myself some food." And with that she opened the door and ran down the stairs.

You see, Talia is my best friend. No she is more than that.  She is my sister.  Her behaviour this morning was nothing out of the ordinary.  She was at my house more than her own, she was family.  I decided to get up and make sure Talia didn't burn the house down, so I woke up Falicia and Crystal and followed her downstairs.  We ate our breakfast in a sleepy silence, then trudged back upstairs to my bedroom.

"What are we doing today?" Falicia asked.

"Do we have to do anything? It's the first day of summer!" Crystal replied, flopping on to my bed.

"Exactly, it's summer.  Havn't you thought about it.  This is our last summer of freedom before we have to worry about our future! Next summer we will all be stressed out about getting ready for university. We have to live it up while we still can! Plus Lea's parents are out of town for the whole week, we have this house all to ourselves." Falicia paced around the room, presenting her little speech with lots of hand gestures, while we all watched her, amused.

"I see what you're saying Fal, but why do we have to live it up today?" Crystal whined.

"Because I know something perfect for us to do!" Talia said, jumping up, "Now I know you don't want to join the circus Lea, and that's totally fine, but I still really want togo! Don't you?"

"Ya I guess." We mumbled.

"Alright then, get dressed, and I will text the guys and tell them the plan." Talia said, grabbing her phone and leaving the room.

20 minutes later we were dressed and piling into the car.  When we got to the circus we walked around until we found the guys. (I was the only one of us who didn't have a boyfriend.) The girls greeted their boyfriends as I stood off to the side awkwardly.  I felt someone looking at me, and noticed that I was not the only person who didn't bring a date.  Cory Hudson was staring at me, waiting for me to notice him. I was surprised to see him here, we were actually really close friends, and I guess you could say he was close with the rest of the guys as well, but Talia hated him.

"Hey Strawberry," he said, walking over to me. I felt myself blush at the nickname, "how's it going?"

"Good, how are you Finn?" I asked, using his hated nickname.  Cory hated Glee, and he had the same last name as the character Finn, and the same first name as the actor who played him.

"Good now that you're here. All these bozos were talkiing about was their girlfriends." He sighed, as we started walking toward the big tent.  We all stopped at the door to show the ring master our tickets, then went to take our seats.

The show was going great, at some point during the first 10 minutes Cory has put his arm around me! Ya, maybe I like him, just maybe. Oh, who am I kidding? Of course I like him., and I think he likes me too, but we are both too chicken to say anything. Anyways, back to the show.  The acrobats just exited and now a man with a lion were coming out.

"I am Ian the magnificent," the Lion Tamer said," and this is Sasha.  She has been practicing for weeks to show all you lovely folks all her tricks."  The Lion Tamer started instructing Sasha, and the whole audience was captivated by the tricks this lion could do. That is until someone threw their bottle of pop at the her.

"Please keep your pop to yourself." Ian said, annoyed. He picked up the bottle and went to return it to the man who threw it.  As soon as he truned his back Sasha started walking around, like she was looking for someone. Just as her eyes met mine, she stopped walking.  Before I knew what to think, she was running toward me!  The last thing I remember is Sasha's face an inch from mine, and then everything went black.
