1. When a mermaid or merman is banned from the pod they either live outside their territory or go on land and become human

2. Don't let humans catch fish, it only draws them to the ocean even more, then they'll start to take everything

3. All Merfolk in a pod have a rank

4. Every full moon the pods will gather in their own secret lagoons and wait for the moon to be in the middle of the sky

5. Merfolk must always stay away from land, it risks more humans knowing about their existence

6. It is Required to go to the Rituals every full moon when you are chosen to by an elder Merfolk since when the moon is in the middle of the sky the water turns a very pretty blue color and begins to bubble as it strengthens the powers of Merfolk in the lagoon, only those chosen to go can enter the lagoon at that time, this rule is stressed over a lot as it is the most important

Marco Pod-
Lives in a slightly swampy area around the Marco Island, is near the Everglades, Merfolk there have to be the most careful about Gators, Salt Water Crocs, and humans living very close to them, their lagoon is hidden deep in a mangrove forest were the moonlight shines on the water

Siesta Pod-
The Merfolk of this pod live near a very popular beach, they have the best fish and Sea life of any pod, they have to be very careful not to get hit by boats though or spotted by whale watchers when they are farthest from shore, their lagoon is a kelp forest they sit on the sand in the middle of the forest where nothing grows as they use there powers to keep that spot for themselves, the moonlight reflects off the surface of the water

Gasparilla Pod-
They live close around the Island Gasparilla cloer to the open Ocean, fishing boats are almost always there so it's the job of the Merfolk to keep them from over fishing, their lagoon is an underwater cavern of their island where part of the cave let's in moonlight only when the full moon is in the middle of the sky
