"I'm so exited!" I couldn't help yipping. "We can tell." Nora said with a giggle. "Sorry, I'm just one of those kind of people who loves to keep in shape and challenge themselves." I squealed jumping up and down. "Cool it Little Firecracker, our instructor is coming." Noah said in a harsh tone. I quickly got a hold of myself as our instructor approached our little group. "You, with me, now!" A 6'1" male with short blonde hair, tan skin, dark blue eyes, and wearing a military uniform said pointing at you.
"And you didn't get kicked out?" Noah asked in a tone that says, "serves you right" with a huge smile. I glare at him as I'm dragged away by the man from earlier. We're about 12 yards away unit he speaks. "What are you doing. You know thanks to you I have to pick up your slack until you're done with your little "experiment" here." He said crossing his arms in frustration. "Sorry there love, but this "little experiment" will help me determine the best ways to train and teach them." I pause. "But if you want you can take it up with the higher ups, and if you do I bid you good luck." I smirk with a little bow.
I hand him a paper and on it was all the information he needed on me. I make it back to the group just before he starts the lesson. "Attention everyone." Everyone who was once talking stopped and fixed themselves into rows except for a few of us including me. "We have a few more rookies to add to the group, you seventeen get into line with the rest." We do as told. "My name is Richard, and I will be your trainer for the next few days, but I'm only here until your actual teacher, trainer, whatever you want to call it has time to watch you brats." He gave you a glare.
"To start off you all will take ten laps on the track, then when you finish that 40 sit-ups. If any of you slack off, everyone has to do it again, and this is a race." He points to the track and shouts, "Go!" About a thousand people take of for the track, you being one of them. (I can't go full out, but I really what to. Ugh, this sucks!) I pace myself so I'm in the top 300, once I finished the laps I quickly did the sit-ups. I ran to the instructor to signify I finished.
"Good job Mr. Jacks, you finished 243rd out of 1027 people, with a time of 8 min and 37 seconds." In a more hushed tone he adds, "I know you could have got in the top 50 if you wanted to, just because your the actual trainer don't think I'll always let you do as you please." He finished with a stern look. You smile back, "I'll keep that in mind for the next time!" You shouted as you jogged away. After that the instructor kept running drills that you could do flawlessly, but would occasionally stumble so you didn't look to suspicious.
It was 11:50 once Richard put us back into lines to talk to us. "You all did well this morning, but there are some of you I expect more from." He looked at you and about ten others that you noticed. You roll your eyes at how obvious he is but whatever. "You are all dismissed, lunch should be ready shortly go get ready." Everyone says, "Yes sir," then all go there separate ways. A familiar face is running towards you, "Naomi, you are so amazing!" It was Nora. "I placed 400th but I was exhausted after words, but you got 243rd and wasn't half as tired. I bet he was talking about you when he said he expected more."
We caught up with the rest of the group when she said that and they all nodded in agreement. "He probably was, when he pulled me aside earlier it gave him my correct papers, and one of the things one it was my sports records. Not going to lie, I'm pretty damn good at sports and I love to play them." I said with a smile spreading across my face as I was remembering all the sports I've played, but it quickly faded into a frown as I remembered that I left, not even half way through the volleyball season.
"Are you alright Naomi?" Jake asked looking at you. "Hm, oh yeah, sorry just lost in thought." I flashed them a smile. "Now that I think about it the instructor was probably also taking to Noah. I mean we all know he was happily excepted here despite his behavior problems." Xavier chimed in, teasing Noah. "Whatever lets just go eat." Noah groaned and started walking faster. We all giggle and follow him to change then meet up to go eat.
