"Hi, I'm Crystal." He smiles. "Hi Crystal, I'm Luca." He turns around and starts walking away so I follow him. As we're walking, "So Crystal, before we start we should get to know each other a little." He looks at me and smirks. I roll my eyes, "How about we stick to training." He stops, "Ouch, that hurt just a little. You don't have to be so cold." He puts his right hand over his heart acting like I hurt his feelings but the smile on his face gives him away.
"How about we make a little wager. Later today we're fighting hand-to-hand combat, and if I beat you you have to hang out with me for at least two hours." He smiles and crosses his arms. "I'll have to pass, I already have a sparing partner for later, but if you want you can watch and see the bullet you dodged." I put a hand on my hip. "Oh, is that so? Your awfully cocky, this person must be pretty weak then." I roll my eyes again, "I don't have to tell you anything." I cross my arms and put my weight on my left leg. "Let's start already."
"Fine, fine. You win Miss Cold." "Good, I'll go defender first so you can practice, and don't worry about hurting me. I'm not as dainty as I look." I put my arms up to defend myself. "I thought you weren't going to tell me anything about you?" He smirks and takes his attacking stance. He starts with a high kick and I easily block it with my left arm. He tried an uppercut and I blocked it with my arms. After doing more kicks and uppercuts he started working on the form for punching. Once he had a decent form I started dodging and stopping whatever he throw my way.
"You weren't kidding when you said you weren't dainty. Most of the time the instructors I worked with would have padding to soften the blow because I suck at holding back." He said as he dropped his arms and relaxed his posture. "Well, not going to lie I'm the kind of girl that goes to the gym everyday." I relax my posture as well. "That makes sense. Are you ready to go then." He gets ready to defend himself. I smirk and get into stance, "Totally."
I start with an uppercut, he blocks it with ease and smirks, "I thought you said you went to the gym everyday, I barely felt that." I could fell the raged rising in me. I inhale and exhale to not get out of hand and I notice Richard staring. (He must have heard Luca and wanted to see my reaction, and to glare at me to say, "Watch yourself.") I look back at Luca, "Sorry I don't want to hurt you and I know how to control myself, but I suppose I could swing a little harder." I swing my left leg, which is uncommon for newbies unless their left handed. This took Luca by surprise and he didn't react fast enough.
Lucky for him I'm experienced in fighting and I can stop myself in an instance. I stop my leg about 8 inches from his face and seconds later his arm comes between my leg and his face. Once he touches my leg I put it back on the ground, "I wasn't expecting you to go left, most people favor their right side unless their left handed. It really did surprise me, did you take martial arts or something?" I smile, "You'll find out that I'm full of surprises, and maybe I did maybe I didn't." We go back to training and he gets better at reacting to my unusual movements but still struggles to keep up with all of them.
"Line up!" Richard shouts. I thank Luca for the practice and he dose the same. Once everyone was in line Richard started talking again, "Good job this morning, from what I saw all of you are getting the forms and moves down quite nicely. Since all of you got then down quicker than I expected I'm letting you have the last 30 minutes before lunch to do as you please. So you are dismissed." I slowly start to walk in the direction of my room. (What am I going to do about the sparing match later. I have to think of a way out of it, and there's also tomorrow. God I'm in such a mess.) I was snapped out of my thoughts as someone grabbed my arm.
"Crystal, do you want to play volleyball with use?" Nora asked and pointed to a group of people. "I don't know..." (I love volleyball but, I have to figure out what I'm going to do.) "Please, we need one more person, and you didn't hang out with us last time." Nora was almost pouting at this point. "Come on Firecracker, are your true colors that dull?" (I know that voice) When I looked at Noah and there was a 💢 on my forehead. "I'll play but only because Nora asked me and I love volleyball." "Perfect, come on its not that far we can decide teams there!" Nora grabbed my wrist and started running dragging me along.
Once she finally stops I look at the set up, there was indoor and outdoor volleyball, a basketball court, a gym, a track field with a football field in the middle of it, a pool, and a gaming room. "What in the world, why do they have all of this?" I asked turning to Nora. "I don't really know, but I'm glad they have it." She smiles brightly. I turn to look at the door but we were the only ones in there. "You kind of left the rest of them in the dust Nora." I turned back to her.
She's rubbing the back of her neck. "Oops." I laugh at her a little and we wait about a minute or two before the rest get there. "Geez Nora, you could have waited a little." A girl with medium black hair pulled into a ponytail, hazel eyes, kind of tan, and about 5'5" said. She looks at me, "Hi I'm Isabella." I smile, "I'm Crystal." "Ok I'm going to pick teams now so shh." Nora scanned the group. "Team 1 is , Xavier, Isabella, Crystal, Falin, Luca, and I. Team 2 is Jake, Darrick, Noah, Rose, Ava, and Lilly."

Falin- 6', tan, medium black hair, and brown eyes.
Rose- 5'9", kind of tan, short light brown hair, and green eyes.
Ava- 6'1", tan, long brown hair, and light blue eyes.
Lilly- 5'7", pale with a little tan, long white looking hair, and blue hazel eyes.
