Part 1: The Re-Encounter
Mason pointed a metal pole out in front of him. It had a plastic sphere on the end closest to him, which kept Mason safe from stabbing himself. He had to hold the pole with both his hands because it was so heavy.
He looked up sharply at the way before him. It was dark, perilous-looking, and the end was not in sight. The pole vibrated as Mason shook in fear.
'Stop it,' he barked, clenching his right hand with his left. The pole stopped.
Mason forced his way towards the opening. He judged it as being 2cm wide and 7-8 cm high. In perspective, mason was about 0.75cm wide and 3.5cm high. Just perfect for killing insects.
He entered with a jog, and readied his pole, which was actually just a pin. Immediately after, more spiders than could count came rushing towards him. He shrieked in fear, but he knew there was no way out of this now. He swung the pin around delicately, into the spiders' heads and abdomens. Another spider approached Mason and he tried to pull the pin out, but it remained stuck.
'Fuck! Come on, fuck!'
The spider stuck his hand to his pin. He was trapped. His short period of screaming was stopped by another burst of silk, this time around his mouth. Mason knew he was completely helpless as he was carried as a part of the dead spider, deeper, into the crack.
'AAAHHHHH!' Mason woke up screaming, freeing his body of imaginary silk as the last thing he saw was Laura's eyes. Sophie woke up, who was sleeping next to him.
'Another nightmare?' She asked drearily.
