The Devil's Angel

chapter 1

First day of the 10th grade, im already nerves before getting on the bus. Its like this every year even though I go to school with the same people as the year before. First i'm not hungry in the morning, can't decide what to wear so ask my sister, get sweaty while walking to the bus stop. Im at the stage where my palms get sweaty when I see the bus.

The bus slows down and we all pile in. I walk down the aisle and find a seat in the middle. I sit down and put my bag down beside me so no one can sit there. Once everyone sits down, the noise level goes up, and the bus starts moving. I put my headphones and listen to my favorite bands while looking out the window watching the trees and the animales rush by.

After about 3 minutes the bus stops again to let people on. I take my headphones off waiting for Kate to get on. Kate is my best friend. weve been best friends since we were 1. We have always been there for each other. If I wanted to run away she would be the first person I would run to.

I see her get on and I move when she is a few feet away. She is wearing combat boots with black skinny jeans matched with a blue t-shirt that goes with her firey red hair. I couldnt help noticing her face, she looked different. Once she sat down I finally noticed she is wearing makeup. I looked at her with confusion covering my face waiting for to ask what the look is for, but she doesnt. She just smiled and said hey.

"Your wearing make up? you never wear make up." I stated

"Do you like it? My mom is finally letting me where it, plus she is also letting where thongs." She giggled and pulled on the thong strap below.

"Is your mom ok? More importantly, are you ok?" I said with a smirk on my face letting her know im messing with her.

"Im fine, but my mom on the other hand is being very chill." She said with a giggle and turned her face into a confused one.

"What do you mean?" Confusion was all over my face.

"I mean she is letting me have more than 2 friends spend the night, letting guys come over to hang, letting me shut my door when I have company over, and letting me cuss." She said worriedly with a bit of excitement.

I looked at her with more confusion than before. The bus was slowing down at the front of the school. "We arnt done with this conversation." I ordered while grabbing my bag from the floor of the bus. We got off the bus and Kate ran off to her friends. If there is one thing Kate and I are different, it would be social. Kate is really popular and im a shy, lonely guy. I went to go get my scedual and noticed I hade very social like classes.

1st peroid- math

2nd period- leadership

3rd period- spanish

4th period- social studies

5th period- language arts

6th period- physical education

7th period- science

Leadership is the worst of them all. I never had leadership before, but I know its a social class. Im not good at being social. I only have one friend and thats obviously Kate. I walk into class and I noticed im the first one there so I can sit where ever I want. I walk over to the back of the room and choose a seat in the left corner, farthest from the door and the teachers desk. I put my bag down and sit. 2 minutes later the class was full and the bell rang. Class was in sension.

15 minutes later we got interupted by the vice principle. He walked to the front of the class where our teacher was standing and he talked to her. Then he left and our teacher said there is a new student who came from Montana, her name is Maryssa. the teacher then pointed to the door and then she came in.
