The Devil's Angel

Chapter 3

I absolutly wanted to die right there. All this time I thought they were my actual parents. No wonder I was so different from them. I grabbed all the documents, put them in a bag, and walked out the door with Maryssa behind me. I locked the store and started running home with Maryssa.

We arrived at my house. We waked inside and I saw Kate and dumbass in the living room watching another movie while cuddling. I ignored them while they were trying to talk to me. I ran up stairs into my room. I stacked everything on my desk and put it on my bed. I then dumped all the documents on my desk and pulled mine out. Everyone was soon in my bedroom sitting on the floor and my bed.

"Whats wrong? Where did all these documents come from?" Kate asked.

"The store." I replied quickly as I grabbed my laptop and searched my name. Nothing popped up. I typed Laura Rameson (my adopted mothers name) and my adopted parents death came up. My name and Clairs name was mentioned a few times and it showed our picture of us hugging.

"Whats that?" Kate asked concerned.

"Nothing." I replied closing the laptop.

"Were those your parents? Oh my god! They are!" Kate said while she was grabbing the laptop, entering my password, and opening it to the web page. I regret telling her my password. She is the only one that knows it.

"Why didn't you tell me?"

"Cause I didnt want anyone knowing for a while."

"Well I was gonna find out eventually."

"Exactly, I didn't want you finding out."

"Why are you searching this up when you were there?"

"I'm doing some private stuff."

"With Maryssa? You suck at lying so tell me the truth."

"Ugh, fine. Me and Maryssa went to the store. I went into the office and was looking for my parents will. I found it and I was releaved when I saw that the house is going to Clair and the store is going to me. I went to close the drawer and I saw a file with my name on it. I grabbed it and opened it." I said while grabbing my file and handing it to Kate.

"Oh my god! I'm so sorry!" she said while giving me a hug.

We all sat there in silence. About a hour later Kate's phone went off. It was her mom. Kate stood up,  answered the phone, and walked out the room into the hall. Afew minutes Kate returned.

"I have to go home, its getting late and I have dinner plans with my family. Im sorry Denny, I would invite you, but theres no room."

"Its fine. I wouldn't want to intrude."

"Ok, im so sorry what happened. If you need anything, anything at all call me."

"I will, bye Kate."

"Bye. Come on Maryssa." Kate said, standing at the doorway to the hall while dumbass went down to the car.

"I will tell my mom im spending the night, if thats ok with you Denny?" Maryssa said with excitement and concern in her voice.

"I'm ok with that, what about clothes?" I said

"I'll have my mom drop some off."

"Ok, if ya say so. Bye guys, don't forget to use protection." Kate said as she walked out the door.

 I layed down on my bed and looked at Maryssa. She sat down on the edge of the bed next to me. I sat up and looked at her. Then at my phone. I got a text message from Helen.

H- What do you want for dinner? We are going to Taco Bell.

me- Just get the box of tacos for me
