The Devil's Angel

Chapter 5

        I woke up around 11 with a smile on my face when I noticed Maryssa sent me a text. She sent it a couple hours ago. I unlocked my phone and opened the text message. Turns out she sent me more than one. Maybe like 10.

M- Goodmorning :)

M- wake up sleepy head

M- you awake yet

M- dont forget you have to pick me up tomorrow

M- the doc said you can pick me up at 2 today instead

M- my mom went home last night and im craving mcdonalds :P hint, hint lol

M- baaaaaabe! wake up

M- you better wake up by the time i count to ten

M- 1

M- 2

Before I can text her she sent me another text.

M- 3

Me- Im awake now, sorry i had to keep you waiting my love

M- lol its ok, your lucky i didnt get to 10 tho XD

Me- ya, that wouldve been scary

M- ya it would lol

Me- lol, well im gonna go take a shower brb

I wasn't actually going to take a shower. Instead I got some clothes on and went downstairs. I saw the car keys on the counter in the kitchen. I picked them up and my wallet. I walked out of the kitchen to Helen who was watching opera. I got infront of the tv and dangled the keys infront of her. She smiled, nodded, and gave me a wink. I laughed a bit and headed out the door. I really need to get my own car. I took out my phone when I got in the car and texted Kate.

Me- you awake?

K- yea, whats up?

Me- stop watching vampire diaries and get dress. be there in 15

K- ok

I put my phone back in my pocket and started the car. I pulled out of the driveway and headed to Kate's house. As I was driving, I stopped at a stop sign and saw some cops at our store. Imediently flashes of memories from that night came to me, removing me from the present. I was interupted when a car behind me honked. I shook my head and started driving again.

I finally arrived at Kate's and noticed her mom's car was gone, which ment she was at work. So instead of knocking on her door, I just walked in.

"Hey, im here. You ready or are you still doing your make up?" I said with a laugh.

"Give me a minute. Where are we going?"

"Mc Donalds then the hospital."

"Don't forget about Jake. Nevermind, ill tell him to meet us there."

"Good, because I don't want two love birds making out in the back of my car."

She took one step back out of the bathroom and glared at me down the hall. I smiled and then I rolled my hands, signaling her to hurry. She stepped back into the bathroom and came out a few seconds later. She turned off the bathroom light then went into her bedroom. I followed her into there. 

Her walls were hot pink with white carpet that is completely spotless. I don't know how she keeps it so clean. Her bed was made and had a white bedset on it. Every year she would get a new bedset. I watched her as she rumaged threw her drawer of jewlery. She found a pair of earings and put them on. Then she put on a necklace that matched the earings. They were silver with turquise 'diamonds' hanging off. Same with the earings. They both matched her outfit. She was wearing a short, white, leather jacket with a turquise tank that was long in the back and short in the front, and it showed part of her stomach. She was wearing light blue jeans with silver sandles. She turned around and lead me back outside to the car. We both got in and drove off.
