The Devil's Angel

chapter 4

She was laying down, sleeping. She had a bandage wrapped around her stomach. You can see a spot of blood on the bandage from where she was shot. I walked over to the side of the bed. I pulled a chair over and held her hand. Larane pulled up a chair next to me and we held her hand togeather.

A while later Larane got up, layed down on the window bed, and fell asleep. I then rested my head down next to Maryssa. I'm so thankfull that she didn't die. I don't know what I would do without her. I think I actually love her. I look up at her and smiled. She is so beautiful when she is sleeping and awake. I just hope I will be able to see those beautiful eyes of hers. I rested my head back down and slowly fell asleep.

I woke up to the sun shinning threw the window. I looked around, Larane is gone, i'm still holding Maryssa's hand, and she is still sleeping. I sat up and checked my phone. I had millions of text messages from Helen, Clair, and Kate. Helen's and Clair's messages were from last night and earlier this morning saying that im in trouble for being out late, not telling them, and not returning the car. Kate sent me messages from earlier this morning.

K- good morning, did you have fun with your bae? ;)

K- i hope you listened to me and used protection XD

K- how come you and maryssa arnt at school

K- where are you guys? clair called me saying youve been gone since yesterday night

K- what the hell.... answer me damnit!

me- hey

K- where the hell are you, its 2nd period, your family is going crazy, and you and maryssa arnt at school wtf

me- we are at the hospital

K- omg why?

me- maryssa got hurt

K- omg is she ok?

me- yea, for now

K- i have to go, ill text you after school

me- ok bye

I looked back up when I heard footsteps at the door. It was Larane. She smiled at me and walked over. She handed me some hot chocolate from the cafe downstairs. I smiled back, nodded, and took a sip. A few minutes later my phone went off. Helen was calling me. I got up and stepped out of the room. I knew I was in trouble. I quickly answered my phone and said "I'm sorry."

"You better be sorry, I had no idea where you were. You were out all night. You didn't bring the car back. You better have a good excuse."

"I'm sorry, I do have a good excuse."

"Lets here it."

"I'm at the hospital."

"Oh my god. Why?"

"Maryssa was hurt."

"What about her family, they could be there. Not you."

"Its different with her. I want to stay with her as much as I can.  i'll explain everything when I get home, i'm sorry I didn't tell you where I was."

"ok, you better. Come home soon."

"I will bye, love you."

"Love you to, bye."

I hung up and walked back to the room. Larane walked back out and headed threw some doors. I sat back down next to Maryssa. I grabbed her hand again when I felt a tight sqeeze. She turned her head towards me and smiled. I smiled back in relief that she is alright.

"Hey." She said with a soft tone.

"Hey, how are you doing, does anything hurt?"

"No, im fine. Were you here all night?"
