"You wanna piss off your parents, baby..."
Kala eyes followed the cracks in the side walk as she strolled along. Her dark hair blew out messily around her head and she solemnly regretted her ripped shorts and thin tights. She was on her way home from a party. Celsie was drunk off her feet and Kala couldn't find her keys so she decided to walk to the nearest restaurant for some kind of non alcoholic beverage.
Much to her dismay the first place to come up was a bar. Knowing she had enough self control, she pushed open the door and marched inside. The place was fairly low key. A few guys were at a booth. A woman was drinking something fruity chatting with a man, whom Kala was pretty sure was the plumber from across the street, and a bar tender was turned around in search of a glass.
"Excuse me. Can I get some water? Or orange juice?" Kala asked with a slight plea in her tired voice.
"Um Sure. Hold on." The bartender disappeared under the edge of the counter as Kala twiddled her thumbs on the wooden counter top.
In a few moments his curly head popped up and he handed her two glasses, one water, one orange juice.
"There you g-" He stopped short of his words and when Kala met his eyes she knew why.
"Ashton."
"Hi Kala, how are you?" He questioned an odd sense of calm washing over his appearance.
"Fine. So you're a bar tender now..."
"Not a very good one. But yes, as of three weeks ago."
"Why?" She never really saw his as the steady income type.
"Cause I was missing rent money from a break in last month and this place has some special memories." Ashton smiled as he scanned the room making her watch his warm eyes.
"Is this.." Her voice trailed and she stood from her stool.
"Where we met." He was standing next to her now.
"It seems different." Kala whispered as he came close to her suddenly, just inches from touch.
"No Kala it doesn't. This old place hasn't changed. We have." Something was sad in his voice as he leaned closer still.
"What are you doing?"
And with that he kissed her. Quick and simply, but still burning on her lips.
"Stop. I really can't do this. I'm seeing someone and....and my parents would be so upset...Ashton...I don't want this...not again..." Her voice felt rushed and completely wrong, she could see in his eyes he knew that she meant none of it.
"Please just this once...then never again." He held out a hand.
Kala bit down on her lip. She wasn't officially taken but Harold was starting to grow on her. But let's be real she was the dominating one in the relationship and he had never once kissed her which she was starting to miss. But her parents would be so mad. Then again they would never know. She could get away with this. She wanted this so bad. She was about to make the wrong decision. She was being so stupid. She almost walked away then something came over her.
"Never again." And she took his hand.
