-Cause they're calling, calling, calling, me home, calling, calling, calling home-
"ALEXIS!" I yelled as I ran to her in the air port parking lot. "HARVEY!" She yelled back dropping her pink suit cases. After we hugged and chatted for a bit I drove her to her grans house on the other side of town. She lives in a cute one story home near the woods. "How was Italy?" I asked as we parked the car. Rolling her eyes Alexis sighed. "Saw my ex, family members I hate, family members who hate me, and my grandma thinks I'm a whore so" she said shrugging.
"Oh well. You still have your family here." I said looping our arms. "Yeah" she said laying her head in my shoulder. "Hey gran I'm home!" Alexis yelled as we entered the house. "In here!" came a elderly voice. It was gravely like a chain smokers voice. "Hey gran" Alexis said hugging her. "Hi Mrs. Leo" I said hugging her. "Hello dear" she said with a smile. She stood over a large pot mixing what looked like soup.
"Gran go lay down!" Alexis said taking the ladle from her. "You just had a heart attach. Go rest" Alexis said shoving her gran slightly to her bedroom. "Oh nonsense. I'm fine" her gran said rolling her eyes. "Well I'm not! so nap!" Alexis ordered as she closes her grans door. "I swear she thinks she's a teenager" Alexis said rolling her eyes.
"She acts like you" I said laughing at her. "Whatever" she said smiling and fixing the soup her gran was previously making. "Soup?" she asked when it was done. "Sure" I said sitting at the cute little round table. After having our soup and talking for a bit I drove home to finish packing and walk Max. Axel said he could come with me since I've had him for so long. I think Max will like it. Axel said they have a big yard he can run around it and lots of kids for him to play with. Max has always loved kids, he gets protective over them, I don't know where I came from but he has always been that way.
Sighing I placed the last of my things into the brown box. A moving truck was coming tomorrow and driving it to Colorado for me. I wasn't leaving for a few more days. Abby still is ignoring not only me, but now Alexis. She hasn't been to work since the clubbing we did and she hasn't talked to me since she tile me to talk to Axel about him being a wolf.
I was honestly worried about her. She has never acted this way before. So here I am, sitting outside her house. Great idea I know. Sighing I got out of my old beat up Beatle and walked to her door. Knocking a few times I stood waiting for her to answer. After 30 minutes with no answer I took the plant next to the door and got the key that was taped to the bottom. Opening the door and stepping inside I noticed a lot of empty pizza boxes everywhere. The curtains where drawn leaving the room in complete darkness. "Abby!" I called out walked further to her room.
"Abby, are you home?" I said slowly opening her door. Words could not describe what I saw. Gasping I ran to a pale Abby who was tied to her own bed. "Abby!" I said shocked and scared. Tears made there way to my eyes as I tried to untie her. "What happened?" I asked as her eyes slowly opened. She looked at me shocked and frightened. "N-no. You ha-have to leave H-Harvey" she choked out as she started coughing. "Not without you!" I said as I got her right arm undone. "P-please. H-he doesn't like visitors" she stuttered trying to push my hands away.
I was about to protest when I heard the closet door creek open. "Who is this?" I heard a manly voice ask. "S-she was just leaving. R-right Harvey?" Abby said with pleading eyes. Nodding I turned to the man at the closet and gasped in fear. His eyes where blood red, pale skin with black veins around his eyes, and his teeth. They where sharp and scary looking. He was scary looking.
"Ah. A wolves girl" the man smirked as he sniffed the air. "W-what?" I asked confused and scared. "I can smell the stench of wolf all over you" he smiled. "And he's a powerful one too! More than an Alpha" he started walking to me as he said this. Looking to the door I bolted as fast as I can to the front door. Axel said that since he marked me, and girls don't turn in to wolves, I get some of his abilities. Right now speed is a very good thing. Opening the door I ran to my car and started it.
After I got home I instantly called Axel. "Derain is on his way. He's coming a day early. When he gets there I want you to stay with him at all times. Okay?" he said growling a little. "Yes" I mumbled trying not to cry while talking to him. From what his mother has told me about Mates they are very protective. "Are you crying?" concern covered his words as he spoke them through a growl. "No. I-I was but I'm fine now." I lied as I wiped my eyes.
"Harvey....don't lie to me" Axel's voice suddenly went deeper and more animalistic. Thanks to Daisy, Axels mom, I knew this was his wolf. "Baby listen. I'm fine okay. Really. I'm just missing you. I'll be there in two days okay?" I said in a soft sweet voice. Daisy said it calms the wolf down enough to where Axel can take over again.
"Night Harvey" Axel said after two hours of talking. "Night Axel" I said before hanging up. Max was laying on my lap as I sat cris cross on my bed. It was just a mattress on the floor with my giant black and grey throw blanket, and a little blue lamp. "Night Max" I said while laying down. Max walked around beside me for a while before laying down with his head on my back.
I awoke to a pounding on my door and Max barking. Sighing I looked at my phone and saw it was 4:35pm. "Crap!" I shouted remembering that Derain was coming at 4:00 and I hat to pick him up. Running to the door I used my right leg to shove Max out of the way as I opened the door. "Hi? I said looking at the blonde man in front of my. "I'm Derain. Remember me?" he said smiling sweetly at me. I smiled and opened the door more. "Yea. You gave me that big tip" I said laughing a little as I closed the door. Derain smiled and nodded.
"Are you ready to go?" he asked not looking at me. I noticed he was blushing slightly. "Um" I said looking down and noticing I was only in my Broncos crew neck and black lace underwear. "Oh right!" I said running I my room and pulling on some orange leggings and my dark brown UGG boots. Grabbing my duffle bag that had my blanket and pillow in it I walked out. "Ready!" I said grabbing Max's leash and hooking it to his collar. Derain smiled and grabbed my duffle bag. "I can carry that" I said while we walked in the air port. "It's fine really" he said while going through baggage check. Mac had to be out in an animal creat and he is now on his way to the plane.
"Are you nervous?" Derain asked as we sat in our first class seats. "Nope. I've flown before" I said smiling. He smiled back and shook his head. "I meant about moving in with Axel, and the whole wolf thing." he whispered the last part. "Oh" I mumbled looking out my window. "Yeah. I mean its gonna be scary, but I have Axel" I said playing with my sleeve. A bad habit I've always had. "That's true" Derain said while laying his seat back. I looked out my window and slowly closed my eyes as sleep came over me.
