Thantos
Her honey scent enveloped my nostrils, My queen was back and this time I intended to keep her safe from this poison corrupting her body. Paintings stretch along the length of the walls each piece capturing a memory she and I had created. I was lost for words- she remembered nothing about me , the pull we share was still there but it would take a while for her to develop a love as deep as the one I harbored for her.
I smiled seeing our blown up picture from the last decade. At that time she was Clarissa, a top lawyer at Wesley Co. awaiting a new promotion but as usual she couldn't beat the sickness long enough to achieve her life's dream. Our first daughter Ida was born, she had my fathers long silver hair, her mother's striking brown eyes, a tender smile, small pert nose and a sweet heart shaped face. I especially loved the dark heart shaped birthmark around her eyes contrasting against her soft honey complexion.
The disease had been far too advanced for her. On earth is was called cancer- in our world it was the plague. The humans breached our boundaries centuries ago and had managed to corrupt the blood of our people with their foreign diseases and as a result our numbers were few. It was laughable how a species as far advanced as ours was rendered weak to their mundane aliments.
Ida was now without life. In the human world the ailment was not genetic but it killed every single infected member in our kingdom. I could remember her pained expressions when the nights would come and her honey skin would burn with black ink standing against her veins.
We had found no cure. I was a young father without his wife's guidance but I was also a king fighting for his people against the intangible. There was no other option than to rid our land of the illness. Every infected person was to be removed. I lost my wife and child within the blink of an eye. This time I was given the chance to fight for her once more. Our kingdom relied heavily on me and I wanted nothing more than to lay in our bed with her whispering reassurances in my ear. Telling me I was doing the right thing; that I was fighting the right cause and our people weren't living in harm because of my fear.
"Adronicus!" A gold hue circled in front of me before I saw him appear in a kneeling position. His black hair was pulled into a tight plat only the top of his hair visible as the rest of his head was bald. Centuries of ancient writing carved into his skull in a way that displayed our culture for years to come.
"Sefram" his back was barred to me in loyalty. Earlier this year he lost his entire family to the plague. His faith in our kingdom has not gone and for that he was my most trusted servant.
"The Queen has fallen into the first phase of cleansing"
"Have the women bring her to the healing meadow I shall bathe her."
"Yes sefram" nodding I stepped away heading for the council of my advisors. With the welcome of my heart they have been making several preparations at the temple. This was where I lost Ida and this is where I shall be given back my queen.
I stopped at the memory that had invaded me mid step. Her back against the wall, my lips against her chocolate nipples as she screamed in ecstasy the feeling of me drilling her until she surrendered against me . The creation of our bond. The start of our family...
A sudden anger befell me- I missed out decades of her love for that cursed plague and there was no intention in my mind to carry on another twenty four years without the woman that was created for me by my side. This time I shall recreate our bond and by this years end I will have finally had my Queen by my side. Our sons and daughters seated at our feet and our kingdom plague free.
