The hue of his eyes made me feel as if I was looking into an electric current. My lips parted a tiny bit, a small gasp had escaped them. I couldn't find the words to speak.

"I—Uh. Sorry." I muttered, still making eye contact with the man. "I didn't see—Well I wasn't paying attention to where I was going." I continue.

"Thomas." His hand stretched out, as he spoke. "And you are?".

Is he asking me? Yes, wait he is. Fuck.

"Juniper." I respond, with a hint of a smile gracing my lips. I take his hand in mine, and give it a slight shake.

God, Jun. Could you be more of a ditz? That's a stupid question.

His startling eyes light up as I respond with my name. I don't see why, it's not that special of a name. The crinkle of the outer edge of his eyes, allows me to assume Thomas is a bit on the older side. He has to be in his 30s.

"A beautiful name for a beautiful woman." Thomas gave off that flirtatious vibe, but the ring on his finger suggests that he is married. I slightly blush at the compliment. But, the blush disappears as soon as it came. He has a wife Juniper.

"Well, it was nice meeting you Thomas. I hope you have a good day, and sorry again for bumping into you." I smile as the words enter the air, I wouldn't want to be the reason he ends up behind schedule. Thomas smiles and wishes me a good day as well, as he walks out of the door way.

Everyone in the city seems to be on some form of buzz. Just stepping into that small coffee shop emphasizes it.

I quickly make my way to the front counter. Lila and her pal might be up soon, and I'm sure they would be hungry. May as well get back to our dingy little apartment soon.

"Good morning, what can I get you?" The young boy behind the asks.

I give him my order, running a hand through my thick hair. Something seems off, I feel like there's a pair of eyes on me.

You're just going insane, Juniper no one is looking at you.

The boy behind the counter gets the order ready, as I pull out my wallet to pay. The sensation of someone looking at me hasn't gone away. Handing the cash to the worker with a smile, I wait for the coffees to be made.

I turn my body slightly towards the large windows, looking out into the world. The sun continues to shine through the clouds that litter the bright blue sky. Scanning inside the little coffee shop, a pair of eyes meet mine. Well I think they do. The sunglasses dark shade hide the identity of the eyes. But, who they belong to seems to have been the offspring of a god. His dark hair littered across his forehead, and his sharp jaw were what drew me in. His head was slightly turned to the side, and turned towards my direction. He is definitely looking at someone, other than the person sitting in front of him.

I fucking knew someone was looking at me. Well we don't know that for sure Jun. The little voice in my head reminds me.

I wonder how boring the conversation is, due to how that specific emotion seems to be hinted into his features.

Turning my attention away from the godly man, I look back to the young worker who was making their way back to the counter. I read his name tag, that was placed right above his left breast.

"Thank you," I squint my eyes to read the tiny writing, "Joe". I say with a smile and wish him a good day whilst grabbing the bagged order and the tray of coffees.

Turning my body in the direction of the door, I manage to look back at the stranger, with the sunglasses, sitting in the booth.

I think he's looking at me. Yet, I still can't tell.

Who the fuck wheres sunglasses inside of a building.

Well it doesn't matter, I make my way to the door and grab the handle to leave. Hearing footsteps behind me, I quickly exit the doorway and start to walk onto the sidewalk.

I'm only a few blocks away from the apartment, when I feel someone walking next to me. Glancing to the side, I see the mysterious man from the booth.

I have never been more confused. Why is he beside me?

As if sensing that I was looking at him, he looks at me. "Um hi?" I say, but now I looked away.

"Hey." His gruff voice manages to send a tingle down my spine.

What the fuck Juniper.

"Ah—Um— Are you walking with me. . .or?" There's that hint of confusion laced into my voice as I speak.

"Yes." He gives me a one word answer. I just nod my head in response.

This is so awkward.

Why can't he just make conversation? Why can't I make conversation? Whatever, I like the silence anyway. Well, I think I do.

Time continues to fly by, and the silence continues to remain. Now with the concrete steps just a few paces away. I turn towards him, with a smile present on my lips.

"Thank you, I think, for walking with me." I say to him. And he just nods.

He just fucking nods, what the hell man.

"Well this is me, so yeah." I say again, at least hoping for a response. But, I don't get one.

Okay this is weird.

I nod slowly, okay cool totally don't say a thing. I walk up the cracked concrete steps, and make my way into the building. Once inside, I turn and look out the window to see the godly being start to walk away. His leather jacket seemed to glisten under the sun. The dark shirt under it suited him well.

Stop looking at him, you stalker.

I chuckle softly and make my way to the elevator. Hitting the button to the second floor, the man seemed to stay in my mind. The short ride ended and I soon reached the door to my apartment.

I sigh and turn the handle to enter the small space, once I step in I spot Lila walking into the kitchen, rubbing her temples.

I smirk.

"So, you going to tell me who was in your bed with you this morning."
