I look around the room once more making sure that all my belonging are packed up in my luggage. Once I am sure that everything is secure I all out of the rooms shutting the door. I walk through the house and to the front door where the rest of my pack is waiting to board the bus to go back home. At the bottom of the front steps stands Anna watch a said look on her face.

I stop at the top of the steps.

"You're not coming home are you?" I ask her. My voice catches her attention and she looks up at me with a guilty look written across her face.

"I can't Lane, I can't live without him. I want to go back, more then you know but-" I interrupt her

"I get it. Your life is here now. With him." She frowns at my comment

"I'll be home in a week or to, I have to go collect my things."

"Just promise that won't be the last time I see you. Promise me you won't forget about me. That you will come home to visit." I slowly walk down the steps to stand in front of her.

"Of course I will." She says. She pulls me into a tight embrace. Somehow I don't believe her. I feel as if this hug is our goodbye. So I grab hold of her and squeeze before letting go and stepping back from her.

"I love you Anna don't forget that. If you ever need anything, I will always be here." She gives me a small smile. Probably the biggest she could muster right now.

"Thank you Lane." I lean in and give her a kiss on the cheek. Taking her hand in mine I give it one squeeze before walking around her and head to the bus.

I loose 2 people today. My mate and my best friend. My wolf howls in pain and anguish. She knows exactly what I do, I wont see either again.

I start up the stairs of the bus, refusing to look back knowing I will cry. I take a deep slow breath holding back my tears. I walk towards the back of the bus picking a window seat. Leaning my head against the window I close my eyes hoping to fall asleep.

My head bounces, smashing into the window. I wake with a start looking around at my surrounding. Out the window I see we are entering the Warrior Pack compound. Thank god I'm home. I rub my eyes before sitting up.

"Oh good you're awake." My mom says from next to me. I turn to look at her small smile and soft gaze.

"It's okay honey, soon we are gonna be home and you can forget all about this weekend." She rests her cold hand on my arm, instantly cooling my skin.

"Honey your boiling, are you feeling okay?" She asks while putting the back of her hand to my forehead feeling for a temperature.

As we pull up to the front of the pack houses, pain starts radiating up through my body. As if flames are climbing up me, it starts at my toes burning every inch, it starts climbing up my legs. When it reaches my stomach I hunch over in blinding pain screaming out.

My mother gasps.

"Heat." She whispers.

"Conrad quick grab her and take her to her room! We can't risk any male smelling her!" She yells at my father. He hurries over to me leaning over me.

"This is going to hurt, but I'm going to need you to bite your tongue so we don't draw any more attention. Okay?" He whispers as quiet as he can without the others using their heightened hearing to catch what he is saying. I give him a nod.

His arms go under my knees and behind my back pulling me up off the seat. Unimaginable pain filters through me. I want to scream out in pain. But listening to my dads warning, I clamp my teeth down on my tongue as hard as I can. I instantly taste blood. I'll heal soon anyway.
