Ashtons POV

Calum, Michael and I walked into the Wal-Mart where just a day earlier we had been arrested in. Good Times. I thought to myself.

"Ashton, what's first on the list?" Calum inquired. I looked at the piece of paper that Allyson and given to me. She is really great. And she likes Luke so that's...great.

"Hello? Ashton, are you with us?" Michael said with a bump to the head. I looked up.

"What?"

"The list, you idiot. What do we need." I looked at the list once more.

*Watermelon

*lettuce

*Bread (whole wheat)

*Rice

She dots her i's with a heart. That is the cutest thing I have ever seen.

"Earth to Ashton! What is wrong with you today mate?" Calum started at me.

"What do you think Allyson and Luke are doing?" I questioned

"I dont know, Ashton. Why do you care?" I looked down at my feet.

"I don't. It's just, I wonder things, okay?"

Michael joined in. "Well, they seemed to be hitting it off pretty well so maybe, they are getting, you know, intimate." Intimate. Why did that comment make me feel like puking. "I don't think Allyson is that kind of a girl." I threw the image of them together out of my mind. What WAS wrong with me?

**********

"I make thee best grilled cheeses." I smiled at Luke from across the stove.

"Wow, cocky much?"

"I have reason to be cocky! Soon you will know Hemmings. Just you wait." I put the lid on the already melting grilled cheese.

"Ally?" Luke said. "Can we talk about, you know, what happened?" I turned to face him, he was looking at his hands. "I just, I really... I really like.....think we should talk about it." The door crashed open.

"Honey, I'm home!" Ashton walked in followed by Calum and Michael carrying groceries. Ashton set the watermelon on the table, and walked over to me. He gave me a hug and a kiss on the cheek and then said, "Oh, darling you shouldn't have." He then picked up the grilled cheese from the pan. He smirked so he must have seen the look of surprise from my face and the look of horror from Luke's. Calum and Michael just chuckled. He bit into the grilled cheese still glowing from this charade he was playing. The smile vanished from his face and he looked at me with wide eyes. "What is this heaven?" He whispered, as he bit off as much as he could. "Well it was supposed to be Luke's lunch but..." I ended up making each of them 4 grilled cheeses. It was getting late by the time they were done, so we settled down for a movie. We pulled the bed out and all squished onto it. I was sitting between Luke and Ashton. I still had Luke's words in my head. "Ally? Can we talk about, you know, what happened? I just, I really... I really like.....think we should talk about it." I thought back to the kiss. How it felt. The way he tasted. It had been a perfect moment. I snuggled a little closer to Luke. He tensed. I could feel his bicep bulge by my arm. He then raised his arm so that I fell into his embrace and he put his arm around my shoulder. Laying with Luke felt so right, so safe. I put my hand on his chest and closed my eyes. I wanted nothing more than to never move from this exact spot. I listened to him breathe, to his heart beat. I don't know when or how it happened but at some point, I drifted off.

Ashton POV

I sat down next to Allyson on the bed. I was so close to her, yet I could do nothing. I watched as Luke put his arm around her and I suddenly felt extremely flustered. Well. I thought to myself. You are the one who practically shoved her into Luke's arms. It's your own fault. I looked over at her. She brushed back her beautiful auburn hair revealing her astonishingly long eyelashes. She had her eyes closed. She looked so peaceful and radiant. I thought about her eyes. How green they were, with the little specks of yellow around the iris. She put her hand on Luke's chest and he started to tickle the arm her had this hand on. I can't watch this, I thought as I stood up.

"I am, uh, going to go to sleep. Goodnight fellas." I walked into the guest room and laid down on the bed.
