Once everyone is off their bus and gets their badge, all except for Peter of course, they head to the elevator for the first part of the tour. They all notice another person in the elevator, most of the students go silence once they realize who it is—Pepper Potts. She smiles at them kindly as she steps into the elevator. She tells FRIDAY the floor number that she needs with practiced ease, trying to keep her smile at bay as she sees Peter trying to hide behind the sea of students. She then goes back to typing away on her StarkPad. However, only 15 seconds into the elevator ride, the elevator comes to a hault unexpectedly, the doors refusing open.
"It appears the elevator is malfunctioning. I have notified Sir, he's on his way now with Captain Rodgers and Agent Romanoff." FRIDAY alerts the passengers. This is just Peter's luck. The pain in his stomach has turned into a steady throbbing—he's trying his best to mask his discomfort. He can't look weak in front of the Avengers, he would never live it down! As it seems, luck is never on bud side as he's hit with a hit burst if pain in his abdomen. He doubles over in pain, hissing at the stabbing sensation.
"Peter!" Peppers yelps worriedly. She makes her way towards him and kneels in front of him, trying to look into his eyes. When Pepper sees tears starting to fill his brown eyes, she moves them into a sitting positions and rubs his back. "Hey, what's wrong?" She asks.
"I-It hurts." He whines.
"What hurts, Peter?" She urges, but the poor boy is unable to respond. He just shakes his head and tries to suppress a sob.
"FRIDAY?" Pepper knows the AI will understand what she needs.
"It appears that Mr Parker is showing symptoms of appendicitis. Medical attention is advised—if not treated accordingly, appendicitis can be fatal." The AI reports. Peter lays his head on Peppers chest and takes a shaky breath. Fatal?
"Breathe, buddy. It's okay. Tony's gonna get us out of here, and your gonna be okay." She whispers soothingly. Pepper is mildly aware of the crowd of kids watching them, but she really only cares about the one in her arms.
"'M sorry." He says quietly.
"It's okay." The strawberry blonde responds. "You have nothing to apologize for, but it's okay." She knows all about Peter's guilt complex—he's basically a mini Tony in that sense...speaking of the engineer—"FRIDAY call Tony."
"Hey Pep," Tony's voice flows through the intercom,"don't worry we're working on fixing the elevator. Although you might be late to your 10:00-"
"Tony." She interrupts trying to suppress the smile the genius always seems to bring to her face.
"Yeah?" He asks distractedly.
"I'm in here with Midtown School of Science and Technology." Pepper states.
"Midtown?" Tony asks, confused. "Isn't that Peter's school?"
"Yes."She sighs sadly while running a hand through Peter's hair, frowning at the warmth she can feel radiating from the boy."He's sick, FRIDAY said it's appendicitis."
"He-he...what?" Tony stutters. Peter squirms in Pepper's arms and tries to hide a whimper.
"What's wrong, buddy?" She asks sweetly.
"'S warm." Peter mumbles. Pepper lays a hand on Peter's forehead and shakes her head at the heat she feels.
"Looks like you have a fever. FRIDAY what's his temperature?" She asks concerned.
"103.3 and rising Ms Potts." Pepper winces in sympathy for the young hero.
"Okay, let's take off your hoodie. It'll make you feel better." Pepper pulls the sweatshirt over Peters head and sets it next to her gently.
"You okay, Pete?" Tony's voice questions.
"Yea." He then turns to Pepper. "But I feel nauseous." He mumbled. Ned hands them a miniature trash can from the corner of the elevator. Pepper thanks him with a smile and a nod.
"We can use this." She reassures Peter calmly.
"We're working on getting you guys out kiddo don't worry." Tony says. "Just hang tight and listen to Pepper." At least he was too sick to have the ability to do something stupid.
"M'kay." Peter breathes, before leaning himself over the trash can.

I'm trying my best not to change the story too much but...we'll see
