Vincent's POV

Rick said he wanted to see me in his office. I had just got to work, preparing to do what ever shoot I was assigned for today, when Rick came in my dressing room and said, "Your not doing a shoot today. Meet me in my office in five minutes."

I pulled on my clothes, and was on my way over. I opened the door, and Rick gave me a big smile. It was odd for him to do so, seeing as he only smiled those smiles when he needed something. It had been quite awhile since I had seen one of those smiles. Part of me was nervous as to what he could want, but another part of me was open to whatever it was, because any type of change could only be good. I only hoped I wasn't being fired.

I sat down in one of the chairs in front of his desk and asked, "So you wanted to see me?"

"Yes," he replied, "I was hoping you could do a favor for me. I thought you might see it as an assignment of a sort."

"Yeah? And what's that?" I asked.

"I've got a girl coming in tomorrow, well, I'm hoping she'll come, but I'm pretty positive. I was thinking maybe you could help her get used to this sort of business. Once she is ready to start shooting, I'd like for you to be her partner. She's never done this sort of thing before, and I think it would be easier on her if she didn't have to zoom through different guys all the time. If she just had a partner, she might feel more comfortable. I have something in mind. Porn stars are famous for their porn star name, and that's what they are known as. Well, what if I made you guys know as a couple. When ever you guys are in videos, you guys will both be in them. I'm betting on big publicity here." He gave me a good look, and said, "This could be what turns you around. Opportunities will come flying at you, but what will make you even more like gold, is that we will turn them all down, only doing shoots as long as you are both in them. You will be the porn star that every one wants, but no one can have. What do you think?"

I stared at him, unable to comprehend. "Why would you choose me for this? There are tons of other porn stars you could choose, why me? What makes me so adequate for this job?"

Rick seemed to come out of his happy cloud then and seemed more normal when he explain, "The girl is kind of like you. I need you beacause she is in a similar situation that you were in when I brought you here. I thought of all people, you could relate to her."

"Who is she? What's her name?" I asked.

"Her name is Mercy. I read it from her name tag. I don't know much about her, but I could just kind of read her. She works at a small coffee shop about 15 minutes away from here, on the outskirts of Chicago. So, I was just wondering. What do you think of the partner thing I wanted for you guys?"

I thought about it. This wasn't like normal porn shooting. This was much more personal. She wouldn't be someone that I fucked then let go. She would be there all the time. I would see her almost every day, probably everyday in the beginning. I wasn't sure if I was ready for that. But at the same time, I was thinking lately about how I had nothing. Maybe it was time I open myself up to new things. I could make a friend. That might be kind of nice. And if I decided I didn't like it, well, I had been thinking about quiting anyway. So I guess I had made up my mind. "I'm fine with it, but I'm not doing it for the publicity, and I don't want publicity, so I won't do anything extravagant."

"Not even a three some, or an orgy?" he asked.

"You know I've never liked doing the three somes. I'll do one orgy, and that's all. Anything else, and you can forget about it." I told him in a stern voice.
