Apostrophes:
Ex. Authors, author's, and authors'
Authors write books.
That's the author's book.
The authors' books were all different.Authors- plural, no apostrophe
Author's- used to show possession, could also mean something is "She's = she is"
Authors'- plural possession, there is more than one author who owns somethingEx. Sally and Sally's
Sally is short.
Sally's short.
Sally's height is 5'2.Ex. Smith and Smith's
John Smith is a guy.
John Smith's car is white.
Ex. Ross and Ross's
I love Bob Ross.
Bob Ross's paintings are great.Ex. Dogs' and dog's
I have three dogs.
The dogs' favorite place is the park.
I have one dog.
