Emma's POV:

"Here, let me help," I walk towards Lisa and take the plates, placing them one by one on the table.

"Oh, you don't need to," she sends me a small smile.

"Don't worry about it," I shrug my shoulders and continue helping, grabbing spoons and forks and putting them next to the plates.

She places the lasagna in the middle of the  table. "Don't you worry, guys! It has no meat, since I know Emma is vegan, right?" She looks at me and I nod my head.

"Yeah, sorry about that," I laugh awkwardly and take a seat on my chair, Ethan following me and sitting next to me.

"Don't be sorry. It's also dairy-free, because of Ee-Tee-Wee-Tee," she smirks at Ethan.

I can't help but laugh. This is so iconic.

I turn towards him, "didn't know Ee-Tee-Wee-Tee also went dairy-free?" I say as if it's a question and lift my eyebrow.

He turns bright red and hides his face in his hands. "Stop," he whines, letting out a groan after.

I chuckle and dig in in my lasagna. "Oh my god, Lisa, this is so good!"

"Thank you so much, dear," she says, sitting in front of us. "Sean, dinner's ready!"

I see him walking in the room and immediately stand up. I wipe my hands with a napkin, before reaching out to shake his hand.

"Hello, I'm Emma," I smile and he does too, shaking my hand.

"You're Ethan's girlfriend. I'm Sean, nice to finally meet you."

"You too-"

"Stop being so polite! Sit and eat," Lisa chuckles, lighting up the mood of the whole table.

"Mom, where's Cameron, though?" Ethan speaks up, taking a sip out of his water.

"She's too busy with college and couldn't make it," Lisa frowns, "I hope next time she can come!"

"Me too, I've always wanted to meet her," I say in honesty, cleaning my hands with the napkin.

"She'll love you," Ethan says and smiles cutely at me, "but who wouldn't?"

-

"Told you it's gonna work out perfectly!" He exclaims and throws himself at his bed. We are already in our pajamas and ready to go to bed.

I stand in front of him and watch him, smiling ear to ear. "You're so adorable," I jump on the bed and sit criss-cross next to him.

He remains laying on his back, his hazel eyes simply just staring at me. He lets out a sigh and looks at the ceiling.

"I just feel bad Gray isn't here with us." I begin playing with his dark hair. "This feels so nice," he says and quickly moves around, laying his head in my lap.

He takes my hand and places it back on his hair, closing his eyes in pleasure after. I let out a laugh and continue curling his locks.

"Why didn't he come?" I softly ask.

"He insisted not to. He said we had to spend more time together, not that I mind, and he wanted mom and dad's attention to be on you."

I pout, "you know, I feel like you're spending more time with me than with him."

He opens his eyes and furrows his eyebrows, looking at me, "why do you think like that?"

"I don't know, but it's like you're distancing yourself from him because of me."

"Stop it," he sits in front of me in the same position. He doesn't take his eyes off of mine and takes my hand in his.

"It's not your fault, please, don't feel guilty. I got this."

I nod, "I know you do," and rub my lips together.

His eyes wonder around my face and study my features, me doing the same. He starts to slowly lean in and I close the gap between us, connecting our lips.

He kisses back immediately, the feeling flowing through my body even faster. He pulls away quickly and grips the covers.

"Lay down," I do as he says and he pulls the covers over us, laying on top of me. He kisses me again, this time longer, before hiding his head in my neck.

He places light kisses there, making me giggle a little. "I love you so much," his voice comes out muffled.

"I love you more," I reply back and wrap my hands around his neck. "We're getting cheesier and cheesier by the minute."

"Agree. Let's just change positions, so I don't kill you in our sleep," he says, pointing out his weight compared to mine.

I let out a laugh and lay on top of him, my head in his neck and his arms around my back.

I sigh peacefully, "goodnight, E."

"Goodnight, E."
