Four long years had passed since Kyle's death, and it was safe to say nobody was over it completly. People had got past it, but not over it. It was just not the same without the town drunk in town. And really, Jack could have done with some support on his first day of high school.

Jack looked really smart with his black blazer, white shirt, red tie and his polished shoes on his grey trousers. His curly black hair was chopped off from the top, so it was short length curly hair. Fiona hated cutting his hair, he would move about and Fiona would nearly cut off his ear.

Fiona smiled at her two children, both ready to go school. Jack was in year seven, and Adam was going into Primary. Adam was a split of Jack when he was a baby, flat black hair and bright green eyes. Adam followed in the handsome path too, his brother would always be the "handsome" one though.

Fiona led Adam and Jack into her car. Jack was excited, he never had any friends in Primary school, and wanted to gain some in High school. He heard they had a swimming club too, Jack loved swimming, ever since a young age. He excelled in Primary, got all of his swimming badges, and the school was impressed.

Fiona also signed Jack up to an afterschool Karate class, that he could not wait to go to. Fiona thought to herself, her child, the same child that has learning difficulties, is slowly becoming a man. He could not properly. He could not catch a ball. He could not throw a ball. All he really knew was swimming and computer games. Fiona regretted buying him that Xbox.

"Have a nice day Jack" Fiona said as they arrived at the school. Adam was already dropped off, and Jack was nervous as hell. He was shaking, and biting his nails. For the first time in 4 years, he hugged his mum, before getting out of the car. Jack looked around, there was a huge group of people on his left, many were smoking and the others shouting.

Jack found a nice spot to sit before lesson starts, and he sat there until the crowd moved. It was here where he met his good friend Forest. Forest was now 14, and about 5'8". His sun bright blonde hair had dimmed down, and he gained some weight. He now looked like he worked out quite a bit.

"Hey, Jack! Did you have a nice birthday last week?"

Jack nodded and smiled. His birthday last week was only small, but he enjoyed his 11th. Jack and Forest walked down the coridoor as it was time to go in. Jack had English first, the subject he hated. He got bullied so much in that lesson in English. It was just a few minutes before lesson, so Forest decided to stay with the younger boy.

"Hey, freshman! You need money to be on this coridoor!"

Here come the playground bullies, nobody is a bigger buddy then Mitch Rotum, a Year 9 skateboarder, who smokes weed on the local estate around Forest's house. Forest hated him, and god help him if he touched one of his only friends.

"Hey! Leave him alone!"

"Leave him alone? What are you gonna do, freak boy?"

Forest clenched his fist, and Mitch tutted, walking away with his punk mates. It was soon time for Jack to go into lesson, Forest said his goodbyes and left, he would look out for him. Incase Mitch would come back.

Jack enjoyed his first lesson. His teacher was awfully nice to him, and the two people he was sat inbetween were nice too. One was called Laura, a beautiful brunette with blue eyes. The second one was a boy, with brown hair like him and blue eyes, Kieran. People were told at the start that Jack was mute, but did not say he was autistic.

It was now break time, and Kieran, Jack, Laura and Forest were hanging around together. Laura and Kieran understood that Jack could not speak, and speant the rest of break teaching him sign language. All four had a great time at break, and then was his favourite lesson; Swimming.

An hour had passed, and Jack was having the time of his life in the pool. His friend, Laura was a great swimmer, and it turned out Kieran has never swam before. The moment he got into the pool, he struggled to stay above waterline. At one point, the other kids were mocking him, and before soon he went under the water, and struggled to get back up.

Jacky was scared, he did not want somebody else close to him to die. Sure, he only knew Kieran for the day, but he did not want him to exit. He still remembered his dad very much. And without a second thought, the 11 year old boy dived into the water. He grabbed Kieran by the waist, and using his full might, kicked himself above water level.

Kieran coughed some water out, and looked at Jack, amazed. The few times he tried to high five him, Jack took a step back. Maybe he did not like being touched? Or maybe Jack did not like high fives? In ways, he could connect to Jack. He did not like being touched eihter, unless it was absolutely nesercary. He could see a great frienship between the two.

Needless to say, when Jack went home, he had a smile on his face. He helped somebody today and made his first two friends. He could not wait for tommorrow.
