Da Yeon's P.O.V

"I'm so sorry." I immediately muttered out after me and Kino were almost out of school.

Kino looked at me, concerned.

"You don't have to be sorry. You did nothing wrong." He said, and we continued walking to his car.

"I should be sorry. I can't even... Help you stop shaking when you're so scared and traumatised." Kino gulped, biting his lips.

There and then, I stayed quiet, unable to respond because I felt the guilt build up in me.

(yes let's pretend all of them have cars)

He unlocked the car with a simple click, and he proceeded to do his usual thing.

He opened the door for me, and I thanked him again. Kino only gave me a small smile that seemed forced. Normally, he would make some kind of joke or he would say something nice.

I ignored the thought of it, and quickly went in while he closed the door, going to his side of the car.

He started the car, buckled his seatbelt, and he kept quiet, not speaking.

I awkwardly played with the hem of my skirt, looking down, replaying the entire scene that happened earlier just now.

I just couldn't get over it.

While I was still shaking from Yoongi's touch, Kino couldn't do anything about it.

I tried to not think about it, so I looked at Kino, expecting him to talk.

But he didn't.

He wasn't his usual self.

He would normally talk so much, that I would have to remind him to focus on driving.

Maybe he's just... Tired?

Even after a few minutes, he silently drove the car, and I awkwardly used my phone, gulping every now and then.

What was going on?

I had to break the silence if he wasn't going to.

"What's your plan tonight?" I asked.

Kino shrugged, "Nothing much. Maybe sleep."

It was a simple answer.

He doesn't normally stop with just a short answer.

"Should we get dinner tonight?" I asked.

"I think I have dinner at home." He responded, tightening his grip on the steering wheel and re adjusting his seating position and posture.

"Is something bothering you?" I blurted out my thoughts.

Right after I said that, Kino suddenly landed his feet on the brake, causing me to jolt forward then back again.

"Sorry, red light." Kino nervously apologised. He seemed uneasy as he continued tapping his fingers onto the steering wheel, looking out the window.

"You didn't answer me." I softly said.

Kino huffed out, not knowing what he could do.

"Let's talk at your house." As soon as he said that, my heart dropped in fear.

"Don't worry." His free hand landed on my shoulder, rubbing it, but his eyes not meeting mine at all, something that he normally doesn't do.

That was making me afraid.

I was really hoping that whatever he wants to talk about is not what I think it is.
