(a/n: Sorry it's been so long since I've updated, but I didn't think anyone enjoyed my story so I kinda stopped. HOWEVER, I noticed that this has passed 200 reads! That's crazy! Thank you all so much. Now! On to the story!)

   (Datastream's POV)
My fingers play along the strands of my loom, tying off the last thread of this new universe. It's only now that I notice the ache in my fingers and how tired I feel. Stifling a yawn I stand up and stretch. As I do I think about my words to Nightlight. It was insane of him to suggest stopping my weaving to look for the Void Sanses hideout, but I can't help but feel a smidge of guilt for how I had spoken to him. I hadn't meant to be so harsh, I was just irritated that they had slipped through my fingers (yet again) and needed to take it out on someone. Nightlight is, or maybe was after what I'd implied, my friend. I should really apologize to him.
Speaking of Nightlight, he stumbles back into the base looking tired and disorientated.
"Nightlight!" I exclaim, I stand up to greet him and he looks at me with blurry eyes.
"Hm? Oh, hey Datastream..." He replies without looking at me. I take his chilly response as a consequence of what I'd said.
"First off, I want to apologize for what I said. You didn't deserve me yelling at you, your request was perfectly reasonable and I blew it all out of proportion. I was already angry at the Void Sanses and I took it out on you, and for that, I'm really sorry. I hope you aren't made at me and we are still friends." I finish with an anxious look in his direction, hoping he'll accept my apology.
"You really think," He laughs a little then, and my fears grow. "That we'd stop being friends over you being a little annoyed? Please, I shouldn't have broached the topic to begin with. It was a stupid idea, I don't want anything to happen to the au's because of my selfishness and want to find my brother. So yes, I forgive you! And I hope you forgive me for being selfish." He finishes with a smile and I grin back.
"Of course! You don't even need to apologize and-" I stop then and tilt my head. I can smell it now, marrow. My gaze hones onto a spot on Nightlight's shoulder where I can see marrow soaking through his shirt. Shame floods through me, how could I not notice that my best friend was injured?
"You're hurt!" I exclaim, Nightlight looks at me with a confused expression. I feel a little less bad now that I can see that he didn't even notice.
"Huh?" He says, I point to his shoulder with wide eyes.
"Oh, weird. I didn't even notice. I must have gotten injured during the fight and didn't notice. Now that you mention it, it really hurts." He puts his hand on it wincing. I frown and reach out to touch it, but he flinches away with a snarl.
"DON'T." He growls. I raise my hands and back away slowly.
"I... I've got it. You just get to bed, okay? I can heal it, it's just a little wound and you look like you've been awake all night. Go get some rest, we'll talk more in the morning."
"O-okay. Yeah, I'll see you in the morning then..." I head up to bed feeling confused and conflicted. What in the world was that? Nightlight very rarely lashes out like that. I shake it off as I collapse gratefully into my bed.

  (Nightlight's POV)

I watch Datastream go up to bed silently. I don't know why I felt so protective over this wound, I just... Did. I head to the bathroom and take of my jacket to get a better look at the injury. It looks like.... Bite marks? Ones from a skeleton if I'm not wrong, who..? When..? Wha... When did this happen?
I search my memory for any recent times when I may have gotten bit by another skeleton but come up blank. The last thing I remember was heading to Naturetale, feeling the sun on my face, and then... Then I woke up under a tree. So it stands to reason that I fell asleep under the tree. Maybe I got bit while I was asleep, not everything in Naturetale is all sun and golden flowers. So weird...
Shrugging it off I heal it and pull my shirt back on. Glancing at my reflection I adjust my crown until it's perfectly centered and go out to check the time. 8:35 am, that silly au weaver really was up all night. Sighing to myself in exasperation, I start making myself breakfast, the bite mark already fading out of my mind.

(Hello readers~ Terror here! I want to apologize for being such a rookie and forgetting to heal the bite mark! Such a silly mistake, you can't see but I'm shaking my head at myself. Duh, what was I thinking? Why am I apologizing you ask? Well, that seems to be the theme of this chapter doesn't it? Hope you enjoyed the pun/clickbait title! Haha! I can't wait to see how this plays out, can you? Bye~ <3)
