(Shattered Dream pov)
Well this sucks.
Right now I'm inside the base of my most hated enemies, and I have to give them my best goody-two-shoes act. Plus, it's not like I can really do anything with Datastream watching me like a hawk who's found a mouse. Normally, it's me who's being the predator, its discomforting to be the prey for once.
Ugh.
At least it's only temporary, I only need to play the part long enough for them to trust me and to gain the knowledge of where they store the universe loom. Then I can teleport both Erase and I into the room or vault or whatever it's in and destroy it.
As I'm musing this over, Nightlight walks into the room where I'm still laying in bed. I'd never admit it to him, but this bed is really comfortable. Much more so than the one I have back at the base I share with Erase.
"Hello brother." I offer with a tentative smile (ugh, now I REALLY hate myself).
"Still in bed then? I healed you completely, you should be able to get up! In fact, you should get up! It will do you good to stand up and walk around! Now GET UP!"
I can't help it when my mouth drops open in shock. What the absolute hell? What happened to the sweet, kind, lovable Nightlight who never raises his voice. Actually, to be honest I kinda like this new Nightlight better.
"GET UP!"
Nightlight's yell startles me out of my musings and I quickly stand up, ignoring the pain in my bones.
"O-okay, o-okay! I'm gettin up, see?"
I stammer, acting like I'm scared of Nightlight to see how he reacts. He suddenly seems uncertain and sheepish.
"I... I'm sorry... I didn't mean to yell... I don't know what's gotten into me..."
(Terror here and I HAD to say something. You could say my venom has gotten into him haha!)
"I'll... I'll leave and get some sleep, that's probably the problem."
Nightlight leaves, leaving me with some troubled and amused thoughts.
