On the waters of Venezia a lone girl was sailing on a boat. She wasn't just aimlessly sailing. She was following a small group of people on another boat, about 100 metres infront of her, knowing that one of them had a ranged stand of 70 metres, she needed to keep her distance so she wouldn't be detected. Her eyes were closed, and on her fingers were wrapped thick, soft blue strings, that connected her boat to the one infront of her. At the other end a small yarn doll of the same colour hung off the back of the group's boat.

She was feeling the movements of the group trough the string connecting them, which was hidden in the water. She knew what was at their destination, their boss, who's identity was unknown to her, other than a name. The group she was tracking? They were gangsters. The idea of getting directly involved was scary to her, luckily she was only there to do research, she'd be turning back home soon enough, all she needed was a picture of this man's face.

With this thought in mind, she clutched the camera that hung around her neck with her string wrapped hand. It was her own, a gift from her late father. It was of great quality, the zoom on this thing superb. She'd taken many nice pictures of it, of her only friends she left back in Japan, of herself and her father, of nature, and some that she'd made through her telescope, though those weren't great, taking pictures through a telescope took great skill, the lenses had to line up perfectly, or you end up with half a black picture. Same with microscopes, though she never really felt the need to take pictures through one of those.

She sighed, brushed a lock of blue hair behind her ear, and pushed her glasses back onto her nose. How long until they're there...

Her thoughts almost wandered off again when she noticed the speed of the boat in front slowing down. She quickly turned off the engine of her own, and let it float towards the side of the canal, pushing herself forward off the narrow streets until the others were laying completely still.

"Cool cat, return to me..." She quietly spoke, and the little yarn doll detached the string off the boat, and let itself down into the water, reeling in like a fish on a string.

With a bit of a grossed out face, she squeezed the water out of the now lifeless yarn doll. "So cold..."

With a deep sigh, she reactivated her stand, and spoke to it. "Alright buddy, I'm about to toss you up on that empty building right there, just wrap the string around the chimney a couple times, should be enough to hold my weight..."

She took a deep breath, and started rapidly spinning the doll by its thread in the air, releasing it at the exact right moment to send it flying up on the roof. "Gotcha!" With a proud look, she watched her tiny friend run a couple circles around the chimney she'd pointed out to it, and then, with a soft mew, it signaled to her that she could climb up.

She wrapped her hands in string, and set her foot against the wall, and this way pulled herself up by the string that hung down the building. It was difficult, climbing a tree like this was much easier, but she eventually made it, and quickly took the cover off her camera, zooming in on the location she'd last tracked the group at, the camera now serving her as binoculars in a way.

She saw that two people had gone inside the building the boat floated infront of. The man named Bruno Buccelatti, their capo, and the young, pink haired girl, the one they were supposed to protect, and the other person she had to get information on and hopefully from. Her name was Trish Una.

She suddenly felt her nerves flare up, she knew that the boss couldn't have many good intentions with the girl who was supposed to be his daughter, it was generally known he'd do anything to keep his identity secret, perhaps even take out his own daughter...

The thought saddened her, what father would do something like that to their own child... She'd grown up with an amazing and loving father herself, so the concept seemed impossible to her.

Suddenly a strange change in atmosphere snapped her out of her thoughts. The group started stirring out of nowhere.

The red haired girl, her name was Ivana Panzanella, suddenly jumped up and ran inside. She must've mistrusted the situation. The rest seemed to shout at her to stay, but she didn't listen. "What's going on...?"

Not too long after, the blonde boy, who she knew as Giorno Giovanna, ran after her. She'd heard about him from Jotaro Kujo, a man she'd known since she was five, his real name being Haruno Shiobana, and later more from Koichi, an old friend of hers from Japan, who'd been to Italy to investigate Giorno, who was apparently the son of Dio. Just the thought of that man's name sent shivers down her spine. To Koichi, Giorno had apparently been a kind, and serene boy, with a stand ability that could be just as kind.

The rest of the group followed behind, most of them plain angry. Which was understandable.

Suddenly, the group emerged from the building, Ivana carrying Trish on her back, and Giorno dragging Bruno over his shoulder. They seemed unhurt, but looked shocked, and terrified.

"What the... What happened in there..."

They talked for a bit, Bruno announcing... Something, and then collapsed for a second, but quickly recovered.

The conversation continued, everything looked incredibly tense. If only she could hear what they were saying...

One person descended the stairs and entered the boat. "Leone Abbacchio... That ex-cop..." She pursed her lips and kept watching.

Next their gunman got in. His name was Guido Mista. He was of the same age as her. No idea why that was the one thing she remembered about him.

Then Bruno and Giorno got in,and the boat started to take off. The two left behind were Pannacotta Fugo, Narancia Ghirga and Ivana Panzanella. What was going in there suddenly clicked. They betrayed their boss, Fugo, Narancia and Ivana being the only three who didn't...

She got ready to get off the roof, when she heard loud shouting in the distance. It was Narancia. She could make out what he was saying, but she saw him jump in the water, and swim after the boat, which stopped to pick him up.

Now Fugo and Ivana were the only ones left. She kind of felt bad for them. She understood how afraid they must be at this moment. The gang was powerful, she was sure she'd done the same if she was in the same position, she wasn't gonna lie.

She quickly made her way off the roof and back in her own boat. She didn't know why, but she felt the need to follow the other group more, they did still need more info from Trish, even if she wasn't supposed to be the one getting it, this was her chance.

Without regarding the fact that Fugo and Ivana were still standing above those steps, she took off at full speed, and followed in the group's direction. When she passed them, she looked at Fugo momentarily. He looked sad and betrayed, which only strengthened the feeling of compassion towards him inside her.

She secretly hoped she'd actually get to talk to him some day.
