Fea
Gunshots were heard coming from outside the train. I sat quiet as did the others in the windowless boxcar. The guy sitting next to me started squirming a little and breathing heavier. I looked down at his hands that were handcuffed to his sit like everybody else's. My body was jolted forward and the train began to slow down. Shouts and banging were heard from the inside of the train car walls.
When the train was completely still the door above us burst open. Three men with gas mask and guns came in and immediately started breaking us free from our cuffs. One by one they helped us out of the train car and through the hatch in the roof. I looked around once safely out and on the ground. We were in the middle of no where. In the distance I could see the train still going on oblivious to the fact that we were being left behind. The last of us formed a line.
Nobody knew what was going on that's for sure but that didn't seem to matter at this point. The three men hopped down from the train car and stood in front us. "Don't be afraid your safe now. We are going to take you home." the tallest one said stepping forward. Nobody said anything. The three men looked at each other exchanging a look I didn't understand.
"Who are you?" I asked trying to sound tough but failing. Everybody looked at me. The tall man came and stood in front of me. I suppose in this situation a tall man with a gun standing over a small girl should scare me but something about him made me feel safe.
"What's your name?" The man asked. I swallow and clear my dry throat. "Fea." I say with more confidence than before. The man takes off his mask and looks me in the eyes with a smile. "Well Fea, we are the deviance." He says just as a pod fly's over us and begins to land. The Three soldiers gather back together and look at us. The pod lands and opens revealing more men. "Follow us." The tall man says as he gestures for us to go towards the pod.
One second we all stood still and then the next we all were moving along side each following the men to the pod. I don't know what anybody else was thinking but I'm sure it was the same thing I was. What's going to happen now?•••
