There are times
I want to give up
There are times
I want to blame someone
There are times
I want an escape
There are times
I want to die
Those times
That lead me to my only escape
Cutting
The pain
The sting
The constant bleeding
Honestly
It all helped.
If you're a child I prefer if you
Didn't follow me
If you're a teen like me
Truth to be told we'll be adults
sooner than we think
Open your eyes and you'll see.
If you're an adult
As early as possible do tell us teens
The truth about this cruel world
And don't even give us the excuse
"In due time I'll tell you, I promise."
