My best friend is a teddy bear
I love him beyond compare
Another bear was given
Now I have a pair.
I played more with the new one
And left my old one, alone
I forgot about him
Now I have one.
The new one wasn't warm
I missed my old friend
I want him back, so I threw the new one
But my old friend is gone
Now I have none.
I searched and searched
Until I grew secluded
I was on the brink, I saw him perched
Watching me with desolated eyes;
I missed him, so I hugged him
He gladly returned
He gently whispered
" I waited and waited but it seems it was only one sided"
No longer warm,
I think I just turned my teddy
into
A cold, empty, heartless monster.
