Chapter 15

"Is...Is this why you didnt want to see me for a while? Who the fuck is that guy?!" The man asked angrily.
It was definitely an unexpected moment. But for some reason, I felt like I could understand everything. It was like deja vu. This person who ai've never met before...It felt like he was someone I knew. It felt like I knew all about their relationship, as if I had been there myself. And...more specifically...I could tell that I was the cause of this situation, and an outsider to it at the same time.
"Let's go." Raven says, still not looking his way.
"Y-yeah..." I replied.
"RAVEN! STOP RIGHT THERE!" the man yelled.
"If I stop...and look back, we're over. Do you want me to do that?" Raven says, stopping in her tracks.
The man, with anger in his eyes begins to hesitate.
"Should I look back?" Raven says with a cold tone.
"YES! TURN AROUND!! LOOK AT ME!! AT LEAST FACE ME LIKE AN ADULT!!" the man yelled.
"Really...?" Raven says growing a small smirk. "Its over then.", she says turning around toward him.
"Over?! Bullshit! You dont get to decide that! Do you know how much I love you?! All the time we spent together!! Everything I have you!! And you're just gonna end it like that!! Is that what our relationship means to you?!" The man continues to yell.
"Yeah" Raven replies.
"What...?" The man says confused.
"Thats all it meant to me. Im sure of it. Especially now...You must be uncomfortable. You can go on without me" Raven says turning to me.
"Thats what I wanted to ask. Are you okay?" I replied.
"What..?" Raven said confused.
"You can go ahead" I told her.
I dont know why I said that back then. But it felt like the most sincere thing I had ever said in my life. That was the first time I suggested anything to someone else too. But to my surprise, she actually listened. And kept walking...it felt amazing.
"Hey!! I said stop!! Where do you think you're going?! Im talking to you!!" The man yelled.
I took a step in front of him to block him from her.
"The fuck?! Get out of my way!!" He yelled at me.
"You can talk to me. I'll tell her." I said with a straight face.
"You bastard..." he replied.
He looked even more handsome from up close. They would have made a nice couple. And that was the last thing I remember, before I was punched in the face and my glasses were broken.
You fucking retard...! You fucking piece of shit retard!! A fucking loser like you..!!" He said as I fell to the ground.
"Are you done...? I'm sorry, I cant tell her that. She...hates conversations...that are one-sided or oppresive..." I said, making it back to my feet with my nose bloody.
"You...bastard...Do you even know who I am to Raven?!" He said grabbing me by my shirt.
"I had an idea...but now I'm not sure. But I do know one thing...you dont't deserve her. You're not good enough." I said, looking him in the eyes.
That day, I made two new records. For the first time ever...I picked a fight with a guy that was alot stronger than me. And I've never been beat up so badly in my life.
