Chapter 10: Prophecy

Maelyn pov:
I reached the headmasters office when I noticed my brother was already here. "Hey bro do you know why she wants to speak to us?"
"Sadly I think I know." He replies. I looked at him and saw his eyes were a little bit puffy. The headmaster let us in and told us to take a seat.
"I am sorry to tell you kids this but your mother has passed away and your father is missing." She tells us.
"WHAT!" I exclaim "You must be joking."
"I am afraid I am not ms Min." Headmaster McGonagall replies. I felt the tears roll down my cheeks. my brother wrapped his arms around me and pulled me in a hug.
"How did she die?" Yoongi asks the headmaster.
"She was murdered."
"By who?" I ask sobbing.
"By Thomas." She begins "I know he doesn't sound scary but we recently found out he is related to Voldemort in some way and he is trying to finish his job."
"What has that to do by killing our mother?" I ask
"There is this prophecy and we think it is about you two listen closely "A boy and a girl emotional torn by their family will pick themselves up again and go to battle with six companions. That battle will decide if the darkness will rule once more or that the light keeps shining upon us. Listen to my words both endings will be defined by someone's blood being spilled on the ground."
We were quiet when she was done talking, it was Yoongi who decided to break the silence "But who says it is about us? And if I can count correctly our group of friends consists of 7 excluding us"
"We think it is about the two of you." She exclaims then an alarm rang through her office.
"What is going on?" I ask.
"Thomas has the prophecy and in order to get it he killed people." She explains. I saw Yoongi getting paler by the second. I tugged at his sleeve trying to get his attention. I sniffled once more before wiping my tears away then I turned to the headmaster "I doubt it is about us, but we have classes if you have actual prove that we are the ones then please tell us." I grabbed Yoongi before dragging him out of the office.

"Yoongi what is happening?" I ask him concerned.
"Call the others it is about Jin." He says crouching down on the floor with his hands in his hair "I shouldn't have let him go."
"Yoongi tell me is there something wrong with Jin?"
"What is wrong?" A familiar voice asks. I turn around to see it was Hoseok.
"Good you're here keep an eye on Yoongi I have to find the others." I tell him before running off. I sprinted down the hallways searching for our friends. I found Jimin and Daisy making out in the great hall, Namjoon in the library where he was with Taehyung and I ran into Jungkook when he was about to leave for his practice but I dragged them all after me to the place where I left my brother and Hoseok.
"Where is Jin?" Namjoon asks me when he noticed he was the only one missing.
"I was hoping Yoongi could tell us that." I reply looking at my brother "Yoongi everyone is here what did you want to tell us about Jin?"
"Jin is dead." He tells us sobbing.
