WORD COUNT | 1799

Bakugou was pissed, beyond pissed even.

No matter how hard he tried, his thoughts kept returning back to the utterly timid omega like a record on repeat. The way his jade locks bounced when he walked, his smile that shone even brighter than the sun, and his eyes, oh god, his eyes are like are the miniscule emeralds that one has to dig through a thousand treasure boxes to find. Bakugou was entranced, whether he willed it so or not.

Sitting upon his empty room after his return from the horrendous meeting, he tapped his foot aggressively. The absence of the scent of pure vanilla and strawberry ticked the blond off to no end. It was almost ridiculous how much of an effect young Midoriya had on the impulsive prince. He decided he needed something to take his mind off of the issue at hand.

Heading towards the castle's training grounds with a thundering anger in his steps, servants dared not to even peer his way in fear of any backlash. He emitted a vengeful aura, his dirtied boots hitting the marbled flooring of the palace mercilessly as he walked. Ever since he was young, the only way to calm his rage was through physical exertion and it hasn't changed even into his adult years. Some called him immature due to his inability to control his emotions without fighting but others credit it as to why he became such an indispensable commander.

Pushing a set double doors open, the prince could already feel the fresh air of the outdoors hit him before the moonlit sky can cast it's shadows upon his caped figure. Almost immediately, the distinctive sound of metal clashing against metal filled his ears causing the hairs on his body to rise due to habitual excitement. It was no doubt the sound of sparring. As he walked a few steps further, he identified the soldier who was in a duel without hesitation - after all he himself has sparred against said soldier many times.

The blond found his lips tugging into a smirk upon seeing the crimson red hair being exposed as the soldier finished his duel and lifted his helmet. He watched in silence as the soldier shook hands with his sparring partner as a sign of good sport, the two of them sharing a light chuckle before he noticed the presence of the prince behind him.

"Bakubro! What brings you here?" He smiled towards the prince in an uttermost friendly manner, completely unfazed by the deadly aura the blond was emitting. He was one of the few people who explosive blond could actually tolerate.

"To beat the shit out of you." The blond replied, already heading towards the nearby weaponry room to retrieve his gear. His hands itched to put on his amour once again, it's been a while since he last used it. Everything fit him perfectly, it was to be expected, after all his amour was unsurprisingly customised as the prince. His breastplate and gauntlet fit snugly and it reminded the blond just how much he missed the adrenaline from clashing sword against sword.

Walking out the room with renewed vigour, he met the red haired boy head on as he lifted his sword slightly, indicating the start of the duel. Several other soldiers that were busy training stopped as soon as they noticed the gold marked amour as murmurs soon began to spread throughout. Before the two had even started, a crowd had already began to form around the two reputable figures.

One being the reliable and trustworthy leader, meanwhile the other was the mysterious and unidentified prince.

Despite garnering such a large crowd for his first public spar, Bakugou felt not even the tiniest pressure, in fact, the blond fed off it. Several chants were heard as the soldiers began to take sides, some supporting the amiable soldier whom they knew whilst others patriotically supported the rumoured prince.

It was a breath hitching atmosphere and it was only the beginning. As soon as the bell was rung indicating the start, the two friendly rivals lunged at each other with great speed, making sure their opponent had no time to relax. The sound of blade scraping against blade sent shivers down every spectator's spine eliciting hollers and cheers.
