Chapter Eight

*1 week later*
It's been a week ever since we went to the mall and met Nikki. We've all actually become really close. Shawn and I have also been posting singing videos on vine. We've been getting notice a lot too so that's good. Shawn getting more popular than me of course, his voice is perfect. Shayla and Nikki also made a singing account on vine too, except they are a duet. Shawn and I have done a few duet videos too. We tried to get Jenna to make one too, but she said it's kinda our thing. She said the least she'll do is make guest appearances in some of our vines. Right now all of us (Shawn, Jenna, Shayla, Nikki, and I.) are all hanging out in my house getting ready to go to the beach. I'm wearing a ombre fringe bikini that fades from dark blue to pastel teal with pastel teal bottoms. Nikki is wearing a blue and bright pink bikini top with the middle part cut out so that you can see her clevage and bright pink bottoms. Shayla is wearing a fringe bikini with teal, purple, and pink on it, and an ombre bottom that goes from pink, purple, to blue with the sides cut out so you can see part of her hips.
"Ugh. Where did I leave my towel?!" Shayla says.
"I think you left it in the kitchen." I say to her.
"Okay." Shayla says as she goes and retrieves her towel.
"C'mon guys let's go!" Shawn says.
"We're just waiting on Shayla." Nikki says.
"Well where is she?" Shawn asks.
"Getting her towel in the kitchen." Jenna says.
"YO SHAYLA DID YOU FIND YOUR TOWEL YET?!" I shout.
"YEAH IT WAS BY THE NUTS!" She shouts back.
"WELL HURRY UP SO WE CAN GO!" Nikki shouts to Shayla.
"Okay, okay." Shayla says as she walks out of the kitchen towel in one hand while she eats something from the pocket in her shorts.
"What are you eating?" Shawn asks Shayla.
"Nothing." She mutters but loud enough for us to here.
"Did you put nuts in there again?" I say.
"Maybe... Yeah." She says.
"Ugh let's just go." Shawn says.
"TO THE CAR!" Nikki says as she points towards the direction of Shawn's car.
*At the beach*
I was just tanning out in the sun until all of a sudden somebody was standing over me, blocking my sun -.-
"Excuse me person you're blocking my sun." I tell the person without opening my eyes.
"I know." I'd know that voice anywhere.
"Yes Shawn?" I say opening my eyes slightly.
"Enough tanning, come get in the water."
"Nawh." I tell him.
"I didn't want to do this,but you leave me no choice."
"What do you mea-" Just as I say that Shawn picks me up and slings me over his shoulder and starts walking towards the water.
"Shawn put me down!" I say to Shawn as I pound his back.
*ring* *ring* *ring*
"You're lucky my phone is ringing, or else you'd be soaking wet right now."
I look at him as I try to stifle a laugh but quickly fail.
"Oh you know what I mean!" Shawn says as he puts me down to go retrieve his phone.
I decide to follow since I don't want to get in the water yet.
"Hello?" Shawn says. I then mouth to him 'put it on speaker', he quickly obeys.
"Hello, is this Shawn Mendes?" The man asks.
"Yes this is he." Shawn answers.
"Great, by any chance is Payton Marie Gomez, Nikki Williams, and Shayla Rickard with you?"
"They are actually here with me now."
"Sure Mr..?" Shawn questions.
"Bordelon. Bart Bordelon." This Bart guy says.
"Oh okay. GUYS COME HERE REAL QUICK!" Shawn says pulling the phone away from after the words 'oh okay' leaves his mouth.
They quickly listen and came towards us.
"This guy named Bart Bordelon wants to talk to us all." Shawn explains to them.
"Hey that name sounds familiar." Shayla says.
"Yeah that's what I was thinking." I say.
"Me too." Jenna and I say at the same time.
"Okay you guys gotta stop that." Shayla says.
"Still here guys." Mr. Bordelon says from the phone.
"Oh yeah sorry Mr. Bordelon, may I ask why you wanted to talk to all of us?" Shawn asks.
"Yes, I would like to invite you guys to join Magcon. It stands for Meet And Greet Convention."
"Oh yeah! We've heard of that." Shawn answers with us nodding approvingly even though he can't see us.
"Great! So would you guys like to join?"
"Uhmm.." Shawn says looking at us but we all have the same questioning look on our face.
"Oh! Don't worry about a thing, everything's paid for, and we've already talked to all your parents, they say you can go but Payton can only go if Jenna goes too which we're perfectly fine." We turn to Jenna and see her mouthing yes with a happy expression on her face.
Shawn looks at us mouthing the words 'should we do it', we all nod.
"When do we start?" Shawn answers into the phone.
