Nova Queen was an actress on sabbatical. After the death of her mother in 2016, she had decided to take a break from the acting industry to step back and enjoy the now. Nova had dedicated herself to helping her family, to better her education. She had deleted her original Instagram and Twitter in an attempt to evade gossip and attention, only allowing her close friends and co-workers to follow her.
Working in a quaint book store stationed in LA, she minds her business by shelving books and cooping herself up in the back room, surrounded by dust and pictures of Mrs. Darby's ex-lovers. Her older sister, Eleni, had taken up the position of raising her younger siblings, despite having to cope with the stress of Med School and needing to fit three people in an apartment for one.

Keeping in mind that Paris is part Filipino, I recommend using a filipina actress to play Eleni. I suggest Anne Curtis, since she seems like a person capable of taking care of or providing for, our girl Novs and Adrian. Also, I had originally planned for Adrian and Nova to be twins, but you can totally scrap that idea, doesn't matter. However, the entire point of Nova leaving acting-either permanently or temporarily- was because she wasn't there when her mother passed away. She was on a plane to LA, where the medical facility was stationed, but she didn't make it on time. Nova often blames herself about not being there, despite her siblings' attempts to tell her otherwise. Eleni should be tired and overworked sometimes, but isn't that tired to the point of neglect. Yes, both Adrian and Nova are of legal age and can take care of themselves, but I mean, Eleni is their rock, their safe house when everything goes to hell. Maybe you can incorporate Eleni attempting to make Filipino food to cheer up the kids(like they aren't legally adults) and it ending in a whirlwind of tears and laughter? It would be cool to show little bits and snippets of their heritage in a chapter, but you don't have to.
