PLOT
MARA ALVAREZ has never had to really deal with losing someone close to her. She was used to having the most important people in her life nearby, always within an arms reach. They were the lifelines to which she clung desperately, and sometimes, the only things that kept her afloat when she felt like drowning. When her grandmother passed away unexpectedly, she doesn't know how to cope, coming up with a plan to rid herself of grief completely, which doesn't work. Her mother, as a way to help her, suggested that she email a support center anonymously, and talk out her feelings. Mara initially thinks that it's stupid and a waste of time, but then she connects with Joshua, a boy her age who just happened to stay late one night and check his email. From then on, Mara finds new ways to deal with loss, and accepts that it is okay to mourn.

NOTES!
- this is supposed to be an AU type of deal, with josh not being a celebrity, but you can TWEAK it, so that he's a celebrity doing charity work at a email support center, or as a part-time job, the possibilities are endless.
- At first, Josh and Mara should have code names or something, to make sure everything is private, including identities.
-The fic should progress primarily through emails between josh and mara, and it will take a while for her to truly open up to him - he is a stranger, after all.
- mara is grieving, so falling in love doesn't come easy to her.
