Veronica's POV

When you get bored of doing nothing all day, you always turn to doing something you enjoy the most. For me, that could be sticking my head between the pages of a book, but there is something else I spend my time doing. That certain task is spending time in the kitchen and making sweet goods.

I love baking. You can keep them sweet and simple, or you can go all out, using that creative side of you to create a masterpiece. Baking is not always easy, but I was always up for a challenge. I also came to conclusion with myself that I needed to be somewhat productive instead of sitting on my butt.

I get out of my bed at around ten thirty and go into my bathroom to go on my daily, personal hygiene routine. I nearly jump from fright at my appearance but just shrug my shoulders, knowing that this is just another side of me.

When I go to pick up my hair brush, I notice the pale blue folded paper leaning against the mirror. I instantly smile, knowing exactly what it is and who it was from. I unfold the paper and read its contents.

'The sun is up,

The sky is blue.

Today is beautiful,

And so are you.

Good morning, baby.

See you after school,

I love you.

- Axel xx'

I can't help but blush at the cheesy poem that was inked on the paper in scribbly, masculine hand writing. Axel has been keeping little love letters in my bathroom every morning, just to make me smile whenever I wake from hours of slumber. I find it so adorable that he goes into those efforts for me.

We haven't given our relationship a name yet, or changed our relationship statuses on social media. It's not that we don't want to be together, because we are in love with each other and that won't change. You don't need a status or been known as Axel's girlfriend to prove feelings towards the other.

Axel and I might not be known as boyfriend and girlfriend as of yet, or have not been out on a date yet, but I am happy. I know where I stand with Axel and I am completely happy with where we are now. Between the time at the fire place to now, we have done nothing but hang out around the house and share a few more kisses.

When I have finished getting ready for the day, throwing on a pair of jean shorts and a grey casual t-shirt, I patted down the stairs and to the living room with my phone in my hand. I connect my phone to the speaker and press shuffle on my Spotify playlist. 'Water Under the Bridge' sung by Adele blasted through the room and I smiled in satisfaction.

Heading back to the kitchen, I gather together all the ingredients to create chocolate filled cupcakes and start my masterpiece. It takes me around twenty minutes to get the vanilla batter the way it supposed to be. I add blue and green food dye to the batter, making the cream colour change to a dark teal colour.

Overall, I created twelve massive cupcakes and then place them in the oven that I have preheated. While the goods are cooking, I clean all the flour and other ingredients off the bench and wash the dishes I have used. The cleaning takes longer than necessary because my favourite songs were playing through the speaker, letting my body feel free and relaxed.

I am just glad no one else is home and have to see my horrid dance moves.

When the buzzer on the oven went off, I take the cupcakes out of the heated appliance with oven mitts and relocate them on cool rack. I then make a start on melting the dairy milk chocolate that will be going in the centres of the cakes. As the chocolate is melting on the stove, with a sharp knife, I cut the centres of the cakes out, chopping the top of the little bits to keep.
