Kiara Brennan threw open the door to her taxi and ran outside. Wisteria was waiting at the doorstep to welcome her in to the Miller house. She basically threw herself at her best friend in a bear hug. They were both meeting after being apart for three whole years. Kiara had last seen Wisteria when she came on vacation to Texas. Wisteria and her family used to live in Texas as well and she and Kiara had become best friends in elementary school

"OH MY GOD! WIZ!" Kiara squealed. Wisteria laughed as they both separated from their hug.

"Let me get my stuff." Kiara said and turned around to get her suitcase from the trunk of the car which the taxi driver had opened by now.

She grabbed the handle of the somewhat large suitcase and lifted it out of the trunk and onto the ground beside her.

"Come on. Let's go inside." Wisteria said as she took hold of Kiara's hand and dragged her inside along with her suitcase.

"I wanna know everything about your concert last night." Kiara demanded. They didn't really need to catch up on much since they called each other almost everyday to rant about their lives and to check on the other.

Both the girls walked into the spacious miller household. There were four rooms in the whole house. Wisteria's mom and dad's room, Sage and Sorrel's room, Heather and Poppy's room and Wisteria and Aster's room. Aster was going to college in Europe, so Kiara was going to share the room with Wisteria for the duration of her stay. She was going to be going to college in LA to study Marketing and  so the Miller's had offered her a place to stay.

Every one of the family members were either in the dining room or in the living room. Kiara hugged all the family members as if they were her own. After having spent much of her childhood hanging out with the Wisteria, the Miller's were practically her second family and they were always happy to see her again. Poppy was just two so Kiara had never seen her in person.  Luckily, Poppy took an instant liking to her.

"Okay, that's enough family time. Let's go to our room and get you unpacked." Wisteria said and tilted her head towards the door of their room.

"Okay, let's go." Kiara said as she picked up her suitcase which she had left near the front door.

The girls walked into the room and Wisteria opened up a wardrobe which had one empty side.

"This side's yours." Wisteria said and than sat down on the bunk bed.

Kiara set down her suitcase and opened it up to unpack her clothes.

"So, tell me about the concert!" Kiara said and the girls continued to talk about the concert for around fifteen minutes.

"Enough about me, how are things back at home?" Wisteria asked and Kiara's expression changed drastically. Her bright smile faded away.

"It's hard for mom and dad to take care of the twins, go to work and take Gramma for chemotherapy. Which made me want to stay back and help them out."

"Why didn't they let you stay?" Wisteria asked sitting down on the ground next to her friend and putting an arm around her shoulder.

"The major reason why they sent me is because Gramma insisted on sending me here. She knows how much I've always wanted to go to college in LA. Dad wanted me to stay since mom is surely gonna overwork herself and not say a thing to anyone without me there to help out. Mom didn't want me to give up on my dreams either. She told me that she would take care of the twins and Gramma properly and that I shouldn't worry." Kiara explained with her shoulders slumping down and eyes filled with sadness.

"That's Aunt Martha for you. Always so selfless." Wisteria sighed.

"Then I was like: I know you're gonna take great care of the others. But who's gonna take care of you? Then she started crying and it was just very emotional. She promised me she was gonna take care of herself but I doubt that she will." Kiara said, beginning to tear up.
