Unable to imagine how my day could get any more boring, I decided to take a walk to the town centre. To say it was 5 minutes down the road was an over statement. Slowly I put my black converse on, and pulled my long blonde hair into a pony tail. Wearing some black skinny jeans and a green vest top, my make up sat perfect. I wasn't one of those girls who panicked about a smudge on their make-up or a curl in their hair, I just faced the fact that; yes, there was an imperfection on me and if someone didn't like it then tough titty for them. Stepping out my house into the crisp air of January, I felt the cold nip at my bear skin, giving me goose bumps, picking up my pace, I made it to town in record time. Walking up to the cash machine in the wall, I still had my music blasting in my ear. My parents and friends hate it because yu can always hear it through their music even if it is through the earphones, and they dont have them in. Suddenly there a was a tap on my shoulder bringing me out of my memories and into the cealing leaving my skin behind.
"What the-..." I shouted, causing a numerous amount of people to stare at me.
"Heeeyyyy," It was Jack. A friend who hung around town a lot with his girlfriend, Sophie.
Jack was smaller than I was, which made him quite small because nearly everyone I knew was taller than me, even my little sister. Jack had light brown eyes, and short black hair. But although his appearance was starnge yet appertising, he had a great sense of humour, and everyone coould have a laugh around him. He was great with the ladies, and a friend of mine's ex.
"Did I make you jump? Sorry, I didn't mean for my beautiful charms to startle you that much." He said with his charming smile.
"And how much was this so called charms of yours supposed to startle me?" I asked, playing along with his little game.
"The normal amount, haha, no but seriously, I was shouting you but you had your earphones in so I decided to come over instead, I really wasn't supposed to startle you." He said, going back to his casuall and caring self.
"Haha, don't worry about it. It was my fault for having my music too loud, or at my normal level haha. What are you guys up to, haven't you guys been told off for skate-boarding in town yet?" I asked casually, smirking at the response, I knew I was going to get.
"Me? Told off? don't be so silly, they will take one look at me, and just know I am too good for that shit." He smiled at me, and I smiled back thinking how he read my mind.
After we said our goodbyes, and I drew £20 out of the bank, I decided to go out to the corner of the town to see who was hanging. Last year this was my everyday routine, but like every average teenager, you go through a number of phases before yo get to the right one. Apparently I'm still searching but I will be just fine. I know there is a place out there for me.
Walking past dark windows, I seen my reflection. A girl with long blonde hair, pulled into a black hair bobble tightly at the back of her head. Light purple eyes, that glimmer in the sunlight or any light, but get blue flames in them when i get angry, and green sparkles in them when i get excited. My eyes are extroadinary and no one has ever seen anything like them, but my mam reassures me that there is nothing wrong with me and I have nothing to be worried about. I'm slim, but not painfully skinny, with full lips, nice legs that arent fat until I sit down, and (if I don't say so myself) a good bust on me, but not rediculously large. I'm not outstanding beautiful but I won't say I was grose either. I kept walking watching one leg go infront of the other in my reflection when I walked straight into someone, tripping over their feet and falling straight to the floor, then I saw nothing....
Waking up, I thought I saw an angel, but instead, it was just my boyfriend, looking down at me... My head started to hurt, and everything was a little blurry. Nathan slowly put his hand under my head and his arm under my legs and lifted me up. I felt the floor disappear below me and came to my senses. Why aren't I on the floor, where am I? Oh shit, he's lifting me up I thought.
"Put me down, I can stand..." I said groggily.
"Are you sure?" He asked me carefully, as I felt my feet lower and slowly they landed on the floor. I stood up holding onto Nathan's arm."Emilia, there is someone looking for you. And they don't look like the law. They look dangerous." He looked at me carefully, watching to see how I would take the news. I looked around at the people staring at me.
"Okay, shows over, I'm fine. We don't need a rescue squad-" I started.
"I wouldn't speak so soon... Hahaha...." A strongly fluent spanish accent cut me off. He was tall and very well built, almost like a tank... and he did not look friendly. Nathan took slow steps until he was stood directly infront of me so I peared over his shoulder.
"I wouldn't do that son, being a hero, doesn't always end with fame," The man said to Nathan, when he noticed his protective arms. Agaisnt some people I could take care of myself, and Nathan was even better at fighting than I was but this man was scary, and I didn't think that if Nathan had a fight with him, we would definitley need a rescue sqaud to help Nathan take this guy down, and even then they would struggle, but bad turned to worse, when the man whistled and another seven guys turned up beside him, pushing spectators out the road. All the toher men, were also well built, just not as well built as him.
Suddenly I felt someone grab both my arms from behind. Their grip was so hard, that I felt the bruises starting to show already. Nathan swivelled around to help but got hit straight in the face.
"NATHAN!" I shouted for him. The man came up towards me, as I struggled to get out of the mans grip. But it was no use. "What do you want from me?!" I shouted, suddenly there was sirens and cops showing up.
"Scar, we have to leave now, before the cops get hold of her. They won't kill her, they will help her. We have to leave now!" The man behind me said with a worried voice. I felt his grip loosen on my arms, and give a hard push and I was out of his arms. Trusting the police would help Nathan, I ducked under Scar's swinging arm and ran.
coming out of the side of the building, I turned left and just kept running turning into an alley. I could here the mens foot steps behind me, they sounded like a herd of elephants. I didn't know how they could run like that with the weight of their bodies, and the muscles they had created. Looking around, I spotted a young girl standing in skinny blue jeans, black boots and a top that had butterflies on it. The girl had blonder hair than me, but it wasn't as long as mine. As I got closer to her, I noticed her elctric blue eyes. She was holding a basket full of brambles. We're in an alley and its about to pour down... Why is there a girl holding a basket of brambles? But just as I was abou to ask her what she was doing, she pulled out a bow from her back, and some arrows from her basket. The girl gave me a wicked smile, and pointed the arrow at one of the men running towards us. Pulling the string back until her fingers were brushing her cheeks, she let the arrows loose and it hit one of the men, square between the eyes, making him stumble and fall to the ground.
Turning to look at her, with my mouth agape, she garbbed my hand and pulled me up to a wall.
"Sarloo, Cava, Et intua!" The girl shouted, her voice was the sound of a strong angel, but when I thought I couldn't be more suprised, I was largely mistaken. The wall infront of us, removed itself, and behind it was a feild, with some houses. The greenest grass I had ever layed eyes on. Stepping onto the grass, I looked around. We were on a completely different planet, turning back around, I looked at the girl, as she looked at the hole in the middle of the air....
"Autni Te, Avac, Oolras!" She shouted to the open hole. I was like off those cartoons where there is a door in the middle of no where but it opens to a new place but when you walk behind it, its just the same place and it makes no logical sense. Well this was almost the same, it was just a hole into the alley but on the other side was the bricks of the wall that moved. Sudenly the hole started to close, and the sound of the men after me, got quiter until I coulndt hear it no more.
"Hey, I'm Abbie. Emilia; right?" I just looked at her, then there was blackness.
