Lad, you are worthy to love and be loved;
If you really want to grab me with all you want,
Then you are free to do so,
Only and only if you go through courtship before getting me.
Let's not have the mentality, "hey, it's the 21st century",
Because for me, courting is the hardest thing a guy
Would do just to get the heart of a gal;
You must be prepared to face obscurities ahead, lad.
Getting my heart is not so easy, compared to a banana's;
'Coz you can get the banana's bud by a knife or a dagger,
While you can get mine if you can overpower my words;
Of being who I am, what the universe is, and so forth.
Instead of wasting your money on chocolates I'd not eat,
Waste it on books, I'd read all night to complete the whole;
Instead of making me smell the perfume you gave me,
Make me smell yellow or peach roses when you see me.
Instead of making me hear the same typical, old songs,
How about letting me hear your voice speak the words your heart speaks?
These are just 3 of things I want to see in a guy
Who badly wants to court and own me.
I am not in search of someone who'd be called "Mr. Perfect",
Because being perfect is ethereal here---too much absoluteness.
I need a man to shout my name when he misses me,
Not a boy who'd whisper my name while he thinks of me in bed.
