I shouldn't have come back.

It was obvious this place wasn't for me. I only came back for Asher, but she didn't just betray me.

She broke my heart.

I know I wasn't innocent either, I've had a few make out sessions with people during my stay in France. But I've never went as far as having..

I guess Karma's a bitch.

And I always stopped whatever I had with other people because I put Asher first. I passed up relationships for her. Good, uncomplicated relationships.

I just feel so fucking sad. Is our relationship even worth it at this point?

My lips can't help but form a smile. I pull my suitcases and walk towards the waiting area of the airport.

She's going to be so happy seeing me.

Present

I tug the blankets over my body as I grip the large bowl of ice cream. Nothing better to do than watch my favorite shows and devour comfort food. I'm so glad today is a Saturday. I can't bear seeing her. Especially in school with her bitch.

I think I'm just going to be a couch potato for today.

Asher's POV

Today's Saturday.

She still hasn't return my calls or texted back. This is just too much drama for me. I just want to talk it out with her. I get why she's ignoring me, but I'm kind of losing my patience.

I almost forgot about Maya. I hurt her too, and she must think I'm a player or something.

I'm so ashamed of myself.

Well, if I can't fix my relationship with Lexie, I might as well try and clear up what happened with Maya.

Maya's POV

My phone is about to explode.

ME: GABE STOP SENDING MESSAGES OR IM GOING TO BLOCK YOU

GABE: Fine! I'm going out anyways. I have a life.

I'm about to reply back when I see a message notification.

And it's from Asher.

ASHER: Hey, I'm sorry about what happened. Can we meet up?

Oh god. Should I meet up with her? I can't help but think of what we almost did, and my face instantly turns red.

She cheated on her girlfriend. With you. Remember??

Although, I'm kind of curious of what she has to say for herself.

ME: why

ASHER: this was a huge misunderstanding

ASHER: I was going to break up with her but I didn't know she'd be back so soon

ASHER: I swear I'm not an asshole I wouldn't intentionally cheat

ME: what does this have to do with me

ASHER: well, we still have a project to do

ME: fine lets meet up at your place

I shut my phone off and leave a note on the fridge for my mom when she wakes up. I guess I won't be needing another partner.
