It was dark and passed 8:00pm when Aidan got to the bar, he's been sitting there taking shots and thinking about his son nonstop and crying nonstop, "Bad day?" the bartender asked, "You don't even wanna know," Aidan said in a deep sad voice, "Take a chance, talk to me," she says, Aidan looks up at her, "Well," he says, starting to sit up, "It's my son, I don't know what to do," "Is he a bad child," the bartender asks, "No, stubborn baby momma," " sss-- oooo, that one hurts," she reacted, "She won't let you see him?" "No, not at all, not even if I pull up and beg her with flowers in my hand," Aidan says, growing angry, "Well, did you--," "Yes, I got a lawyer to back me up," Aidan paused, "But in the middle of our meeting, she left," "Damn," she says leaning over the counter, and Aidan looks up at the bottles, "But then, my baby momma pulls up in the middle of my meeting too," "Wow, are you kidding??" she says in a shook tone, "No, I wish I was," "Damn, you really have a battle in your atmosphere," the bartender says with a spiritual feeling, "I mean, what's the point of having kids if you can't see them," Aidan says, palming his head, "Damn, I'm sorry man, but I believe you'll get him back, you have to, you're a good father."

Aidan lifted his head and looked at the bartender, "You really mean that?" "Of course, your sitting at a bar crying about your son, real grown men cry, you know," Aidan's emotions went down and he started to listen to her, "Other bitches come here, and bitch about a grown person and problems that they stay to choose in, aka, marriage, girlfriends, work, (Etc.) That type of stuff, but you, no, you have nothing going on, all you want from life is your son back," the bartender paused, it's amazing how I can see that right through you now, it's clear now that you tell me your situation," "So what did you think of me when I walked through the door?" Aidan asks, rising from his chair and leaning over the bar, "I saw a lone wolf," Aidan looked into her eyes and looked her up and down, he smirks at her and sits back in his chair, "You trynna get me excited," "Maybe I am, maybe I'm not," the bartender says looking back at him, "So what is your name, luv?" Aidan says smoothly, "The name is Jay," she says leaning in Aidan's face, Aidan got butterflies in his stomach, he didn't know if it was the liquor or the girl with the orange fire hair.

As the time went on, Jay was giving Aidan free shots, Aidan became Jay's favorite in her bar. Aidan was getting drunker and drunker by the minute, the more he drunk, the more he wanted to see what Jay could do alone. So he leans over the counter again, watching her serve her other customers, her ass was to die for to him, "Um, waiter," Aidan says playfully, Jay drops the beer cup in the sink and goes to him, "Yes?" she chuckles, "I have a question for you," "Yes, anything," "Would you want to go home with me tonight?" The bartender was thinking about "going after closing, turns out she doesn't have a life outside the bar neither, "Okay, sure," she said shyly, Aidan didn't know what to think, either stress over the case, or just.. let go," he's slept with other woman in his life, but he didn't wanna fall in love while his situation is going on, "Are you okay?" Jay asked, "Yeah, I'm fine, I'm just thinking about what I just asked you, I'm pretty sure you don't wanna be with a man who has his problems," Aidan said surely.

Jay looked at him side ways, "You think I would judge you? Who am I to judge?" Jay explained, "Everyone has their problems, you're the only one, even I have problems, but hey, why let go?" Jay says sarcastically, Aidan got what she was saying and continued flirting with her, "Well, I think you should come with me to do just that," Jay looks at Aidan's face up and down, "You got yourself a deal," Jay says, biting her lip." Soon enough, Jay was closing her bar and washing out all of the cups, Aidan whipped off the cushion of the chair and put them on their tables, "Thanks for helping me, I never got help from any of my customers," "I mean, you did give me free drinks," Aidan said, making a point, "Yeah, you're right," she said laughing. When they were done, Jay got her purse and Aidan was holding the door open for her, waiting for her to go out the door.

Aidan didn't know where to take the girl first, either out on a date or to a place where they can be alone first, he didn't wanna spoil the date and make it seem awkward,
"So, where are we going first?" "Um, it's where ever you like," Aidan replies, "Do you have a car?" "Um, No, not necessarily right now," "So how do you get around?" "I take the bus or walk," Aidan said, feeling a little embarrassed, Jay stood there and thought about going with him, then a big goofy smile appeared on her face, "It's okay, I take the bus too," Aidan looked relieved, he wasn't the only one trying to have a good time and not worry about the circumstances.

They walk to the bus stop and continue to talk about their day, Aidan is constantly looking around to make sure no one was around them so no trouble would happen. They sat at the bus stop and Aidan looked at Jay up and down, "So, what's up with you? Why do you have a bar to yourself?" :My dad owned it at first, he was the beast at making drinks, then he got sick and had to find someone else to take control of it while he was gone," "I'm sorry for your loss," "It's fine, he was a good man, he lived in this town too, well when I was a little girl, he was always in this bar trying to keep my family a float," Aidan was pleased to hear Jay's back story, "That sounds awesome, my parents were okay, it was mostly my dad," "What happened with your dad, if you don't mind me asking," Aidan was hesitant, but he came out with words, "My dad wasn't the nicest man you would know, he was one of those men if he didn't get what he wanted or he didn't have his liquor, then he would be angry," Jay looked at him like he was speaking crazy.

"He would beat me, and call me out of my name, just like a bully," "Wow, it sounds like you were living with a bully," Aidan nodded his head, "So what did your mom do about it?" "She couldn't do anything, she didn't want to lose my dad or me, so she let us fight sometimes, and other times when it got out of hand, she would help me out and tell him to leave me alone," "It must've been him paying rent," "Yeah it was, but he didn't have a job, he was getting unemployment checks from the government and selling liquor out of the basement," "Why the fuck is that even appropriate, that's no way to support your family," "I know, but back then we really didn't have anything and mom was always cooking and cleaning up after him," "She wasn't cleaning up after you?" "After a certain age, no, sometimes I would help my mom out when I didn't have homework," Jay started to smile, "Awww, that's too cute," Aidan blushed at her comment.

They were still waiting on the bus and Aidan was still going about his parents and what happened, "Damn, so what happened to you and your mom relationship after you left?" Jay asked "Well, everything pretty much went downhill after we parted ways, she couldn't stand the thought of me leaving, so she kicked me out and let my father stay with her, and I haven't heard from her sense then," "And you were still in high school when that happened?" "Yeah, she hated me," "but she's the one that kicked you out, that was her choice to do that," "I don't know, all I know is she didn't want me to leave but she kicked me out," Aidan said with his head down. Just then the bus was approaching and Aidan looked up and got up, he helped Jay up from the seat and on to the bus, they take a seat beside each other all the way in the back of the bus. They continue their conversation, "Have you ever tried to get in contact with her?" "Um, no, not really, not sense then," Jay looked at his face, "Are you scared to face her," Aidan looked into her eyes and couldn't do anything but tell the truth, "Honestly, I really don't know, I don't know what she'll do or say to me if she sees me now,"

Jay looks out the window and ponders for a second, "I think you should," she says in a soft voice, Aidan turned his face quickly to look out the window, he tries to avoid her words, Jay grab his head to look at her, "You have to," Jay says looking into his eyes, "Why do I have to go to her when she should be coming to me?" "Because, she's your mother, and you know you love her," Jay said confidently, Aidan was still hesitant about it, "Maybe it's not how it use to be, maybe she's not mad anymore," Aidan thought about it, "Um, I guess I can go and see her," Jay smiled and looked into his eyes, "Good, I'm proud of you." The bus ride was almost over, Aidan was falling asleep, Jay was use to the long rides after a days work, "Aidan, stay awake, we're almost there," Aidan woke up all the way and looked around the bus and out of the window, "Do you know where we're going?" Jay smiled at him and looked at him up and down, Aidan was looking out the window, blushing so Jay wouldn't notice it.
